This is just unbelievable. Why would anybody put up with something that has so many ridiculous and unnecessary hurdles. They're treating people like criminals on probation.
Even IGN's comments sections are hilarious. Whenever there's a game announced for PS4, there's always one or two people on the comments on the defensive trying to take down anyone expressing anything positive of the news. Said happy people aren't even attacking anyone.
I feel exactly the same way. After playing FFX which was just so awful I really wanted to punch Tidus. I couldn't even finish it's so bad...Honestly, that's when I just gave up on FF and square. Didn't bother picking up xii and xiii was also awful with it's annoying characters and a redundant plot that just caves in on itself at the end. Played xiii-2 and didn't care for it.
Anyway, after watching some ffxii gameplay, I just had to order it. Put it in ...
likely they just outsource it to a couple of schmoes from other publications. That's usually how these long established publications do it.
Sounds a lot better than what I had in mind. Thank you for your answer.
I was interested in picking this game up. Do you miss anything that can impact the single player by not going online?
Didn't they give the much derided dead space 3 a 9.5?
Yeah...
NO!!! /s
I'm really looking forward to this game. It's shaping up to be the swan song for this generation.
I haven't watched the vid...Is it anything like that video promoting the 360 launch where you had skateboarders and d-grade celebrities professing their new found love of gaming, putting stickers on it and saying it had creative energy?

Same. I'm looking forward to everything. I think Knack is going to be overlooked which is a shame. I, for one, can't wait. It looks like an excellent throwback to the fun of PS1 era platformers.
I also hope we see some new IP's. Hopefully something that takes advantage of the camerass mics. Like Socom on the PS2, or that cancelled PS3 game, Eyedentify.
For the X1 to succeed it will need the games. Considering the existence of smart TVs and PVRs. The fact that the console doesn't really replace anything as it doesn't record TV and it doesn't replace people's cable boxes. There's no real added convenience...No actual problem is solved. I really don't see the masses rushing out to buy one.
I'd like to hear more about all of them, really.
Mostly Knack, KZSF and Infamous. Got my fingers crossed that KZSF puts the series back on track towards a non-hollywood feel with multiplayer focused on teams and strategy...didn't care for KZ3.
I only played the demo, but had fun with it. I do lament the loss of these arcadey type of games and I think we can do with some more of them.
Some people may think that others are being paranoid. But apathy is the way this sort of downward spiral starts. It starts with something small and escalates - It's why I've stopped using facebook as they always change their policies. And the reason is that users aren't the customers/ clients - advertisers are. People will do good to ask themselves how much their personal information is to them. I know we live in an age where it's not hard for people to gather enough info to c...
I'm aussie, too. I have a work mate who already has an NFL subscription, so he doesn't see the point in any of it's TV functionality or see how he should pay extra for it on X1.
Cable isn't a big thing in Australia as it is in the US. I don't watch a lot of TV so I don't think it's worth paying a cable subscription when I'll barely enjoy 10% of the content(probably much less)..I'd rather have better options for Video on Demand.
I'm not talking about the fidelity of games shown- that's a certainty. It's not a matter of this engine vs that. I'm talking about the complete lack of content. Particularly exclusive content. All that was shown, apart from COD, was CGI. At these reveals, it's expected that the console developers SHOW the potential of their system by showing off their first party content running in-game.
It's sad when none of the people cheering at the reveal were memb...
First impressions are everything. This was possibly the worst reveal in history. There wasn't any actual gameplay footage of exclusives. Sure there was COD, but it doesn't look anywhere near as impressive as other next gen engines by third parties.
They say there are 15 games and what they show is a cgi trailer (Quantum Break) and a COD game that still looks behind the times (I shutter to think of what the game will play like. COD games completely lack polish).
It isn't looking good. If they're holding anything back now, it just might be because they won't have much at e3. They didn't even get into the nitty gritty of it's specs. They must have come on n4g and saw the comments that said "All the...
I'm still on the fence about this game. Everyone is hyped even though the game could end up average or worse. Yet ubisoft think it's worth making a fig of a character no one may care about.
I'm not speaking of the quality of the game, but this is pretty presumptious on their part.
If Apple can pay people to line up for a product that doesn't change every year to make themselves look good(which they certainly do) then Microsoft paying people to make the xbone look good on the internet isn't a huge leap.
You also need only look at the number of new users joining n4g defending xbone just before e3.
