And the key word here is "OPTIONS". MS didn't give people options and incentive.

They didn't need to take features such as family share away. They were just acting like an angry kid.

The existance of physical media shouldn't prevent MS from discounting games and having sales on regular basis. Existance of PC game discs don't affect steam sales.

Great blog. They really haven't been very clear on how the whole cloud computing works. Because the reality of it isn't as cool as they're making it out to be and more people understand it better than they expected. Also, they've been going out of their way to butcher gaming terminology everyone is familiar with.

Take this for example. When Phil Spencer was on Jimmy Fallon, he said "You can use the power of the cloud to play multiplayer".

I'm not sure if I want an Uncharted 4. If they are going to make one, I'd like to see more open levels as this would really add to Uncharted's seamless gameplay.

Also, I'd wonder what they would do story wise given that Drake has completed his personal journey.

Regardless of what ND does, I am really looking forward to whatever that project may be.

Personally, I can't wait to see Santa Monica Studios new game (hopefully a ...

That's the way I see it too.

I won't need it in a hurry. If I need to play splitscreen, I'll use my brother's controller.

You're completeley oblivious to the purpose and benefits of self publishing. It isn't due to a lack of standards or whatever you want to hear/ tell yourself to convince your BS fanboyism.

It's about having an open platform (much like steam) for indie developers to release games. Critics and consumers will vote with their wallets and reward the devs that come up with compelling and innovative software.

It's a truly brilliant way for encouraging...

Persistant online worlds and less linear games. I can't wait!

Devs will really have to improve their AI. So many games this gen with terrible AI. Only a few games seemed to have bothered with decent AI this gen.

I look at COD ghost gameplay for example, and it's still the same linear, dated and scripted fair. Boring.

They can't include the patch on a game disc?

They haven't even manufactured any yet. why can't this just be part of the firmware shipped with the system?

I don't see them nudging on that one. It's a unique selling point of the system as well as a trojan horse for "personalised" invasive ads.

Xbone's launch games aren't that impressive. The only one being dead rising, but knowing MS's history that will be multiplatform.

I have an awesome PC I have a PS3 and will get a PS4. Sony has done a lot with digital having them available along with their physical release dates. It's basically been like that for the past year. And what ever console exclusive MS has, I will likely get on PC.

Sometimes in the winter my normally stable internet c...

Not to forget that for the past year Sony have had same day digital releases, or at least quick to put digital versions with store updates.

Point is Steam and PSN are already doing a lot for digital downloads. MS placing these restrictions on both digital and physical copies is just ridiculous. Why put up with these hurdles on X1 when they don't exist on other platforms?

I hated FFX. Couldn't stand the linearity and the boring story and whiny characters.

I'm actually playing FFXII at the moment and I'm really enjoying it to my surprise. FFXIIHD and FFXV actually have me interested in the series again after several years.

This game looks terrible. You can tell it was originally a kinect game with the ultra linear level design and gameplay so simple a monkey wouldn't have difficulty figuring it out. Just looks like an unexciting and clunky version of arkham batman series. The visuals are the only good thing it has.

i thought the way npcs reacted when you shot em in the gonads was awesome. love that game.

that's no exaggeration, but a statement of fact.

now that they have that revolutionary fish ai, they can make the other npcs not act like retards in 7 years.

I'm going with PS4 and PC. Depending on how my personal situation changes, I may pick up a wii u for the exclusives.

At this point I don't think it matters. The 360 and the PS3 was in a different environment at the time ffxiii came out...With the way things are going with the differences between the PS4 and XBOne, I don't see people who are into JRPGs picking up an xbone anyway. The xbox mainly appeals to a completely different demographic.

Same with MGS5. I also doubt sony would want to spend a lot of money trying to win exclusivity of a 3rd party develped game when it will probabl...
