I think this is more true for Tomb Raider than Uncharted. In Uncharted it fits. The game is inspired by pulp fiction novels, comics and film. Uncharted 3's action is fluid and the level design in these parts allows for freedom in approaching enemies. That said, I think the game could use some more exploring rather than having less action as it does the latter quite well. Uncharted has some awesome puzzles, but they aren't the main focus, but atleast they don't feel like pointless ...
Just finished it. Fantastic game. The tweaks to the combat engine makes this game different to 3, but closer to 1 in some ways...which makes sense.
Good fun, and the finale was awesome.
I really can't wait for this game. Before it was announced, me and my bro were musing that netherrealm should make another DC fighting game as they are owned by WB. It's shaping up to be everything I was hoping it to be.
Played the hell out of MK9, and this won't be any different.
I agree with Gibson. While devs are guilty to an extent. Gamers are also to blame. Saw all this in the closed beta of KZ3. That game was neutered and the skill gap already compressed, but some people weren't happy enough. Wanted the characters to move like super saiyans and play like COD.
Fans such as myself wanted the more tactical and strategic approach of the previous game.
I will get this on PC if it's not on PS4. I hope they do more to optimise the engine. Lot of hitching on PC and consoles for arkham city.
I looked at your avatar and comment and laughed so hard.
I am against censorship of any kind in whatever media I consume. If people actually searched for the trophy video they would see that there is nothing sexist about it at all. A man who knows the furies saves kratos from the furies before they potentially kill him.
None of the countless articles that blew this whole thing out of proportion mentioned this. It is wrong of Sony to change it. The people offended just need to man up and actually think.
I'm goin...
Perhaps you can enlighten me and others then?
What is the business case? I'm sure this may please people who are Valve fanboys for some reason, but there just isn't a strong business case for it which with any product, there needs to be for it to thrive.
I never understood the appeal of this. Valve just doesn't have the pull people think they have in attracting casual gamers and console gamers, who likely already have capable PCs. Most, if not all pc gamers wouldn't see the point in it either.
This just outright prices them out of the market.
Here's a link to the 'controversial trophy'. You get the trophy by progressing to the part where a male character saves you from the furies. Once he teleports you to safety, you get the trophy.
You know what the hilarious thing about this is? That men are the ones blowing this out of proportion. I don't know...they must not have a lot of experience with women and/ or have no idea of what gender equality is.
My friends and I use the 'Bros b...
This and Red Son really are just extra and optional stuff that isn't part of the main game and it's story. At least they aren't withholding characters that were already in previous games (SFXT) and MK DLC was reasonably priced.
JB in Australia is offering Blackest Night and Red Son.
Big fan of Crash, Ratchet and Jak games. This reminds of those games and Mark Cerny said he wanted to capture the fun of PS1 platformers so this is a must for me.
Good riddance. More stuff like this should happen if people continue writing tabloid level trash.
I already did. It's just insane, how they pick some small comment taken out of context over a week ago...over a week ago!
They're digging really bloody hard to find something and turn it into a negative, no matter how freaking small.
Here we go again. Kotaku making mountains out of ant hills.
True, man. Best people can do is try new things and buy what they want.
If they support innovation, then innovation is what devs and pubs will deliver.
That's not a good thing, right?
There indeed have been quite a number of troll and flamebait articles.
When you read them, they are far from simple criticism, they're just looking for things to bitch about.
These criticisms are just flame bait. Just look at the first party history of all current first party games and Sony isn't the one you should be concerned about for bringing out new IPs.
Totally agree. I couldn't believe this one person could mow all these people down like it was nothing. How are there this many people on the island to begin with? I thought Mathius only wanted the strongest and most loyal, but the AI and action set pieces leave a lot to be desired. All you need to do is stay back pick them off with arrows. Every once in a while the AI will scream out what it's about to do, then some AI will carelessly run out in the open towards you with a knife or so...
