all gamers know already. I can understand that people are upset about that. I myself rarely play online anyway and I'm already a plus member for early demos, betas and free games.
I bought a PS3 on launch day and I realise I was taking a risk. After all the system did die on me a few times. The first time it was well out of warranty, but the guy over the phone said that he'll have it fixed under warranty anyway which was really nice and I didn't even haggle or ask for it.
Despite teething issues....I just can't bloody wait and I need that PS4 in my hands as soon as possible.
lol. What a great analytical mind you have. /s
Look on youtube and everywhere else on the internet. Believe it or not, but it's the gamers that buy the consoles early. No average joe in their right mind would pay $500 for a remote control that doubles as a surveilance device. Not with the advent of smart TVs, DVRs and set top boxes that do the same thing and much cheaper.
I was actually thinking about typing more about games...y'know about exclusives ...
I played halo from start to finish on PC and just didn't understand the hype. I was very sceptical with Destiny. When they first showed it off earlier this year. People were getting excited over nothing.
E3 has made me a believer though. Destiny looks like a lot of fun and I will pick it up along with Knack, Killzone and driveclub.
I'd really like a PS4 version of the game. Maybe we can expect one once the PC version comes around.
Exactly. If I was a fan of the xbox one. The best you can do for everyone including yourself, is to wait until they change their policies. It's got nothing to do with system fanboyism. It's for the sake of our hobby - gaming. Consoles are not PCs. And not all PC games have DRM.
The Witcher Series for example. CD Project is very outspoken against DRM and if I wanted to I could lend those games to a friend. Why would I buy the series on xbone with all it's restricti...
Me and my brother have our PS4s ordered.
Their policies are much better as they don't treat me as if I'm an idiot, a child and a criminal. And historically they just make the more varied and compelling exclusives.
The price, the policies and the more powerful hardware will also make it better for multi-platform titles.
For everything else me and my brother already have more than capable PCs.
Some of these exclusives would be available on PC, or are just temporary. Games like titan fall won't even be available at launch either.
I have a powerful PC for those games. I see no point in getting a $500 remote that's just going to be a hindrance to my gaming(much worse than PC)and is going to spy on me so it can shove ads down my throat.
All that BS just isn't worth it.
We get you, Phil. *wink**wink*
You can give up the rouse.
have you preordered the xbone, yet? if not, then why are you so invested in a system with a shitty proposition?
takes a bigger man t just walk away.
last bit is hilarious lol
I bought move and I don't use it. I've also used kinect at a friends. There just aren't any compelling reasons to play games with motion controls.
You don't need it for voice commands either, as a simple mic would suffice.
that part was so funny.
The $100 isn't the only difference.
I'll enjoy games on the PC and PS4.
But...it just looks so complex! /s lol
My only gripe was not enough first party footage, but we'll see these games a lot on the floor over the next few days I guess. There's also gamescon and TGS.
Great show.
Gotta get this on Day 1
@Software_Lover
I'm already on plus and even though online on PS4 needs plus, it's still better value than live. There had to be a concession somewhere I suppose, but the price, the ability for me to take my games over to my friends place without any restrictions, is awesome.
I wish they demoed more first party titles, but we'll just see them in over the next few days anyway. Awesome show.
This kind of news shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Its a marketing tactic. Hell. I had a marketing textbook from uni where one of the case studies was on the first Xbox and Microsoft faked shortages to increase hype.
Agreed. No need to make a multiplayer segment that will likely feel tacked on, or be the same trudge that can be found in many other games except with a Mad Max skin. That doesn't automatically make a game fun or immersive.
As long as the game is actually compelling, that will give the game replayability and that will make someone want to keep it.
