I like when he says "this isn't a very popular kit yet". Now that he posted it for the world to see half the people will be spamming this by the end of the week.
Children's cartoons are terrible now, the 90s were untouchable. Nick had Rugrats, Aaaahh!! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, etc while Cartoon Network had Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Lab, etc. The only cartoons either Network has put out since the turn of the century that I have genuinely liked is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Invader Zim and Chowder, both of which have been canceled. To a lesser degree I like Flapjack, early Fairly Oddpa...
When Modnation racers comes out I expect the same type of comments from you about that. But alas, you will praise it for all of it's glory as a ps3 exclusive and how it somehow takes kart racing to an uber fantastic, unique and hardcore level previously thought unattainable. You claim to have "matured" far beyond cartoons or Mario games yet you still spend your free time trolling N4G.
Sure would make for a nice pre-order bonus :).
When it was announced Molyneux said you would actually be the child of your hero from Fable 2 and as such would be able to import your save in some manner. It should still be able to stand alone fine though just as Fable II did despite taking place in the same world. You'll probably just miss out on some of the references.
There is a difference between flash apps that work basically as browser based emulators and having the games on a console. It's quite shortsighted to believe that MS has the authority to give access to these classic games for free. By using licensed properties someone has to pay. And on a related note, MS is NOT charging for something available for free on PSN. Don't forget that the only licensed games available for free in Home are provided by Namco, not Sony.
No, its not like home, nor is it trying to be. It is basically just a virtual arcade, nothing more. That said, MS had a chance to implement a nice little bonus on Live and have completely dropped the ball by charging for the games. With the decision to go with licensed "classics" though it seemed inevitable though.
I don't really see that happening. IF consumers are getting bored of their Wii's I think they are more likely to steer away from another game console that they may feel they will just bore of shortly after and be another ultimate waste of money. I really just don't see either of the companies realistically being able to capture much of the Wii market, no matter how much more advanced the tech may be. And with both being standalone devices rather than integral tech for the console I am very...
They look great. Although I can't put my finger on what it is exactly but there is something off about Shepherd's face.
I just don't understand how this game is getting such raving reviews. Granted I only played the demo but it was mediocre at best.
Every time you complete the game it creates a separate complete save which isn't overwritten by a subsequent playthrough. Now from what I've gathered out of interviews I am under the impression Mass Effect 2 will give you a list of all of these complete playthroughs and let you choose which to import.
Unfortunately I fear that maybe level 30 is the sequels level cap like level 60 was in the first.
Must say I was quite pleased when I saw upgradeable weapons as well as customizable armor.
I have all 4 of these and they are all great.
Nintendo may be the house that Mario built but its also much more than that. Sure everyone will immediately think of Mario when it comes to Nintendo, but Nintendo consoles have a history of playing host to many genre defining games. You cannot overlook games such as Metroid, Zelda, Megaman, Pokemon, and in the N64 years Goldeneye. And don't forget 2 of the franchises listed in this article started on Nintendo systems. In the early years, series like Final Fantasy, Zelda, Metroid, Megaman,...
Some of this stuff looks to be worth a premium. Access to minis, PS1 classics (especially if I can save them to my psp), hour long access to full retail games and store discounts all sound promising. The tokens sound interesting as well. But on the flip side charging for cross game chat, Netflix without a dvd, automatic d/ls and updates and trophy alerts are all ridiculous. Don't necessarily like the idea of exclusive in game content either.
And what happens when I pay for cross game chat but no one else on my friends list does? I don't have a problem with implementing a premium service but Cross game chat should be a free update for all. As should features such as Netflix streaming without a dvd, automatic d/ls and updates and trophy alerts.
Agreed, I set a personal embargo for myself until the game releases. So tempting to read all of the previews but damnit, I want to avoid every spoiler possible.
Are you talking about that interview with Cho posted either yesterday or the day before where he was talking about DLC and how he felt publishers and developers often times overprice it? I was pleasantly surprised at this. Free DLC is always welcome, can't wait to see how they support this one. The first's DLC offerings were paltry to say the least.
Wouldn't mind seeing some Banjo in Super Smash Bros.
