Yeah, I hated the MP at first, but after a while I really got into it. It's not the kind of game you can just jump online and start blowing people away from the off. You really have to get used to it. That's why I think it's not as popular as it could've been. Really must jump online with it again soon.
I believe that since you've played all the GTA games, if you walk up to a helicopter and pull the pilot out you can just jump in and fly away! Simple as that! No flying lessons needed!
Yeah, I could never play SF with a stick. It's easier to get to buttons for combos but I always keep missing moves with a stick. As for the steering wheel thing though? When I was trying to qualify for the National Gran Turismo Championship a couple of years ago, I spent endless endless hours with the pad, only to pull out the wheel and shave 3-4 seconds off my lap times! I qualified, but was rammed off the track on the last f#cking corner in the first round and went out :(
I have to disagree Mitchell, Killzone 1 was absolutely horrible. Killzone 2 looks phenomenal, but if it's anything like the first than it might as well be a turd with some glitter on top. Here's hoping it isn't.
Well, I wouldn't say the matchmaking is fast, but it's a hell of a lot better than what it was before the first patch. Personally I can't get enough of Gears 2 online, but for more than half the games I play the shotgun is absolutely useless and end up throwing the controller due to lag. There can be latency of more than a second from when you pull the trigger to the cartridge actually unloading. And that glitch where the shotgun shoots straight at your feet when firing from the hip is absolu...
Yeah, I always thought the sound fx in SF went backwards. There was nothing more satisfying than hearing that triple clash of fist pounding face with a triple dragon punch. I hated the SUPER SF "connection" sound fx.
Another bubble for your generosity. I don't have either of the golden guns, but to be honest I think they look a bit naff anyway.
Shadow of Rome was cool, except for the "stealth" parts with that blonde f*g :-P
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I agree gameplay is and should always be priority, but gfx also play a very big part. It all adds to the immersion. For example, I don't think a game like Dead Space for instance, would have had quite the same impact if it had been released back in the day of the good old PS1. So I think gfx can be equally as important. But, having said all that, it's still the gameplay that brings me back to Gears :-) And Epic infinitley improved on the plot fro...
Yeah, how is this creeping people out?!?! I thought it was funny :-)
I don't think they should change the speed or power of the shotgun, but you have to agree, it is pretty annoying when someone runs at you from a distance of 30 feet, straight through every cartridge in your shotgun with the chainsaw still revving. The chainsaw should be lowered when you give them a lead sandwich. Having said that, I do think the chainsaw battles are hilarious. Chainsawwing someone never seems to get old :-).
I second that, get Dead Space. It's up there with the best of this gen.
I think one of the maps is underground?? Not sure what it's called, but it's the one where the "cover" comes up automatically when you're near it.
No problems here either, maybe it's just in the states or something.
They're all hers, believe it or not
Yeah, hopefully the install will help things, but that all depends on how much it'll still have to read from the disc. I'm actually worried about playing the game because it sounds like it's killing my 360!!! I can't understand it though, it's perfect with every other game, only Gears 2. Strange
....just wondering, is anyone having problems with the Gears 2 disc?? I've had a few disc read errors so far (I usually get around one every month or so of playing, no biggie), but what's worse is when the dvd drive is reading it's making an awful racket. At first I thought my 360 may be dieing, but I put in Far Cry 2 and there was no noise at all (just the usual whirring). Put back in Gears 2 and it started making this awful noise again, swapped it out for Dead Space which was also fine. It ...
Fantastic game (possibly my fave game this gen), lame DLC. How do they expect to sell any of those packages??
......I agree completely. I don't have a problem with these family orientated games, as long as we don't start getting the likes of "Super Gears of War Kart".
I loved the first Mercenaries but was seriously let down by the second. The destruction is pretty cool but, the overall game gets pretty stale after a while. It's probably the only game I bought and traded in without completing. I just had no desire to play it again after a couple of weeks.
