I really can't understand what all the fuss is about LBP. I only picked it up 2 weeks ago and I think I'm already done with it. Don't get me wrong, the customisation is incredible and some of the levels people made are absolutely mind boggling, but everything just falls apart when you actually start "playing" the game. The cuteness wore off fast and I got bored very very quickly so I'm trading it for KZ2 this weekend (which is still sold out in my local gamestop would you believe?!?...

I did enjoy GTA IV and I think it's a great game. I don't think it deserved GOTY, but it's definitley up there with the best of last year. I can't understand all this hate either Ghoul. Maybe people were just expecting too much. Way too much.

I started playing Gears 2 again a couple of weeks ago and I've been re-living the many hair pulling, controller throwing situations all over again! I still go back to it even with the many problems. When the patch comes it'll be great. Hopefully when the invincible chainsaw and piss easy 2 piecing (which is actually worse than chainsawing imo) is sorted, I won't be pulling my hair or throwing my controller as muc...
My only gripe with SF IV is the speed. I wish they'd release a patch that you can change game speed. Online fights can be a bit of a pain in the ass. I've had fights where someone has hit me a couple of times, retreated to a corner and just sat out the rest of the round just waiting for you to jump in so they can uppercut. If the game was faster, this wouldn't be as much of a problem. It's too easy for campers when they have so much time to react.
I don't see why co-op is such a big issue these days. Personally I'd rather go through a game on my own, but I suppose it depends on the game. I don't know if co-op would sit well in Uncharted. Co-op is one of the reasons I've lost a lot of interest in RE5 too. I don't think there's any place for co-op in a game like RE.

Glad to see they're fixing nearly all the issues. I played it during the week for the first time in months and the 2 piecing has gotten completely out of hand. I think it's actually worse than the chainsaw now because it takes absolutely no skill what so ever to get a kill by 2 piecing. I hope they can improve on the lag too. It's a fantastic game (even with the few niggles that they're fixing at the moment) when everyone has a good connection, but that rarely happens unfortunately.
What are the issues guys??? Haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, will prob get it Wednesday. Do they affect gameplay or is it just miscellaneous stuff??
Lewis Hamilton played F1 games on the PS2 in his first season because he hadn't raced on many of the tracks at the time. It worked for him :) but that's the only circumstance I think games could be possibly used for "training". I can't see this guy being helped by playing SF IV. Maybe Tekken could, considering Hwoarang and Baek are Taekwondo masters :-P

I agree Zeph. I thought the first Mercenaries was up there with the best of the last gen, but the second was a serious let down. Got boring after a few missions, never went back, traded it in.
It's actually pretty good. Missions are a lot more gung-ho than Niko's, with very very high body counts :) The new weapons are cool. Sawn off shotgun is great when on a bike and the grenade launcher just causes absolute mayhem. And I don't know if they tweaked the online, but it feels different somehow. It's a lot less laggy and seems more hectic. Some cool new online modes too. Well worth the money so far anyway. Absolutely no need for the penis though, don't know why they felt the need to p...
If it looked like that, it would be incredible. I don't think it will look as good as that, but who knows. DIRT still looks very impressive to this day, and they've had a lot of time to work on it. I just hope they sort out the handling on the cars. You get used to it after a while when playing it, but when you go back to Forza or GT you realise how wrong it is.
Man, what ever happened to the times when you could just bring up a list of games and jump into any one you wanted? I DESPISE matchmaking. Look what happened to Gears 2.
Yeah, that Devil Within game on Tekken was lame. Can't understand how they scrapped Tekken Force for that. I think force in Tekken 4 was one of the best "bonus" type extras in any game. I'd gladly have paid the €50 for that alone. For the love of God Namco bring back Force in Tekken 6!!!!

There's no cover system in multi??? That kinda sucks. The demo blew me away though. I was afraid the gameplay wouldn't live up to the graphics (which are amazing)but it certainly does. Demo definitely left me wanting more.
Bought a PS3 on Saturday and getting a loan of MGS 4 tonight hopefully. Being a HUGE MGS fan I dont know how I managed to resist getting a PS3 til now. I suppose I thought somewhere in the back of my mind it might eventually come to the 360!! But, I couldn't hold off anymore, especially with KZ2 dropping in a few weeks too. Must......play......Metal..... .Gear...........
