If they don't show something from a couple of their big studios after the absolute disaster they've had with Concord then I'll lose all hope. This generation has been a complete letdown so far and there's very little to look forward to at the moment.

Agreed. This gen has been so barren and I don't think I've had a console 4 years in to its lifecycle that I've bought less games for. And even though we have had some amazing games, we're 4 years in and nothing has truly blown me away yet. This gen has been a complete let down.

.05% is a probably a bit high but Notorious is right, they should be offering royalties and it's scummy that they don't. Especially so considering the music plays a huge part in the overall experience in GTA games. They can more than afford it and they should be paying it.

Internal reception is completely meaningless. Opinions coming from within an echo chamber are not helpful. It's going to be another Concord situation.
How the hell did they spend 8 years making this game? Seriously, how? I can completely understand something like GTA and RDR2 taking this length with the insane detail in their worlds, character designs, storyboard, voice acting production, soundtrack, the amount of game mechanics at play, all the different systems running at the same time from NPC's behaviour, enemy ai, real-time weather and day and night cycles, all the way down to in game economy, all having to be designed/created from...
We're a few years in now and we've only had a handful of of games from their big studios and no clue as to what's coming. I think everyone's been more than patient and it's about time Sony show their hand. At this stage I don't even care if some games are 2/3 years away, just at least let us know what they're working on already. This has to be the most barren generation so far.
It didn't help that the devs pushed the game as being LGBTQ+ and political. The tide is finally beginning to turn against the woke agenda and Concord missed the boat.
3rd game campaign wasn't great, but had the best multiplayer out of the trilogy. Can't remember the name of the entry that came after that but it was awful.
That's how these things start pwnmaster. It started with just small banner ads on YouTube and now we have 30 second un-skippable ads.
