Digital distribution will be next after either Bluray or HDDVD has taken over. I don't think their lifespan will be as long as DVDs bc as the article stated the upgrades from DVD are minimal.

The only reason why Ninja Gaiden was made for PS3 was bc it was many years later and lead by a different team by Hayashi. Team Ninja does not do ports of any of their games.

The cell is not a video games processor. It is a multimedia processor. That is why it excels at things like folding at home and server requirements.
The cell in the PS3 was supposed to be a CPU/GPU hybrid just like the Emotion Engine in the PS2. It just sucked at doing both at the same time bc of bandwith limitations. That is why the Nvidia RSX was slapped on as an afterthought.
You will never see the cell in a PC gaming rig bc it is not that type of processo...

They use the exact same assets(geometry,polygons, textures). It is a port. The only differences will be framerate, lighting, colors(BC of GPU differences), AA....etc.

This game should blow away the 360 version with all the added time for polish. it was after all finished for both PC and 360.

rediculous price point. Lack of high quality "known" exclusive IPs. Rising development costs for third parties bc of the cell processor. And lack of a large games library even after being on the market for almost a year.
Simple fact is most of the games out for PS3 you can get for 360 and they run better. And also have a better online experience and achievements.
Too bad Bluray killed the PS3. By giving it a pricepoint that most of the "average" PS2 audience can't afford. And also giving the PS3 a horrible games attach rate bc of people buying it as a Bluray player. Giving 3rd parties reasons to give it crappy dump off ports like Madden, NCAA, NHL08, and All-Pro.
Sony would gladly sacrifice a large portion of their console install base to ensure victory in the format war.
