how PS3s were flying off the shelves everywhere and sold out everywhere for July. It just goes to show you that just selling well at a couple of outlets such as Amazon.com means nothing.
With the PS3 being the new console on the market it should outsell the 360 with a $100 price cut.
It also shows that brand loyalty isn't as strong as some people think. And price and game selection can also be just as important.
with the 360 in the first place is that the heat sink on the GPU was too small.
That is why the new sytems out now have the larger added heatsink on the GPU. With the smaller chipsets that run cooler and the new added larger heatsink the hardware failures should all but dissappear.
This is only the beginning. With how much money the movie industry is making with downloadable movies and HD movies. Overall live is a great way more movie makers to make a great profit with huge savings. Digital distribution saves them all of the physical media and packaging costs. Plus the addition of Live on PCs.
I expect some time in the future there will be advertisement on live which will eventually lead to it being free.

I edited my post. It just makes me angry sometimes. Because the rules apply to some people but not others.
I have posted many articles on this site and bc of personal bias of other people they do not get approved. But this does.
was awesome back in the day. I still have mine. It was the equivalent back then of what the alienware is today. A true gaming rig. I still play it on emulation.
They came with awesome sound chips. I still remember Shadow of the Beast with about 10 layers of parallax scrolling. Truly an awesome machine for it's time.
Step 3 of 3 – The News Post
This is where you will be creating the actual news post. Start with typing in a Story Title. The story title should ALWAYS be the same as the headline of the story you link to. So do not edit the original title or create your own headlines unless the original doesn’t make any sense when posted on N4G. Also please remove any exclamation marks from the headline if any.

Hey M3rcnary the original...
I don't think you have come to realize that people know that you prefer the 360. Thus all fanatics automaticly disagree with you.
It is most likely that they don't even read your posts and just click disagree. This trend is already apparent in many 360 posts also with "phantom" disagreeing to highly logical posts.
Take into reference post #1 it has many agrees bc it bashes the 360 and involves a comment about three red lights.

Thet pretty much made console gaming what it is today. Guess this goes to show that fun is what gaming is all about and tech specs and graphics take the back seat to gameplay.

This just in from our Tokyo bureau: according to an interview conducted by Japan's Impress, Sony's Ken Kutaragi has gone on record with a "promise" for what he's calling an AV-centric PS3. In other words, audio and video capabilities first, gaming second (if at all), in a device built around the Cell-processor

But overall, gameplay is the most important. A game can be photorealistic but without great gameplay it will still be subpar.
Great gameplay can stand the test of time. A good example of this is the game Tetris. Very primitive graphics but great gameplay.
Good graphics are also very subjective to the time the game is released. I still think some games are great that have been released over ten years ago. But from a graphics standpoint they are horrible.
play the Might and Magic games back in the Genesis days. It is cool to see the franchise make a comeback.
I think the shots look good. It reminds me of Oblivion.
just buy the hard drive if you want to play. I don't think the Core makes up a high percentage of systems out there in circulation anyway.
Most stores I go to don't even carry the core unless it is in the backstock and just not on display.
the 360 version is better. But if you have a high end PC obviously that is the way to go.
It does impress me though that the 2 year old GPU on the 360 can still keep up with a high end PC. Usually at this time in a consoles lifecycle PC games will start to move way ahead.
The XBOX and the Gamecube were both far superior to the PS2 last gen. The GPUs were both far for advanced.
Games like RE4 on the Cube had to be dumbed down on the PS2 to even work right. And you would never see a game of the calibur of Ninja Gaiden last gen on PS2.
All ports last gen from the PS2 onto the XBOX had better textures and AA. And usually supported higher resolutions up to 720P.
Other than that they looked pretty much the same.
who would have figured Bluray.com would bash HDDVD. What do you expect them to say. We lost Paramount and that is horrible. Just another PR twist.
HDDVD players will be cheap this Christmas. Consumers will speak with their wallets.
has the best end of year lineup. Three AAA titles. Mass Effect, Halo 3, and Bioshock.
My favorite genre is RPG so I am also looking forward to Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey.
Not to mention the best versions of all the new Sports Games at a rock solid 60FPS. Honorable mention to PGR4.
You take the cake for least amount of grey matter in your head. What the hec does Killzone have to do with unified shaders??
And you are right skrilla unified shaders are the future. Too bad ATI is way ahead of Nvidia in this department.
MarioFromTexas go sit on a grenade.
with the highest install base is the lead platform. It was the PS2 last gen. It will be the 360 this generation.
Why would developers spend more resources on the PS3 version which has the lowest install base which in turn will see the least profit??
It is basic economics.
went through a lot of effort to get the word on the street about Bioshock.
Obviously all of the money spent on advertising paid off in the longrun.
It is really nice to see a true AAA title selling well as it will give the developer more incentive for a sequal. I wish all the good games in the industry sold well and the garbage Movie licensed and EA rehashes wouldn't sell.
Then overall the gaming public would have more great games like this to pla...
The gap is going to be Huge when the 360 tallies are taken next month. With all SKUs of the 360 dropping in price across the board.
Not to mention Halo 3 isn't out yet. Plus American sales are the most important bc they make up the largest prcentage of the video game demographic for sales.
