You guys don't ever think things through. Like the fact if HDDVD really does come out with cheap HDDVD players this Christmas and Paramount does end up selling a lot of HDDVDs they might want to stick with Toshiba. Or Toshiba just simply might pay them again.
Not to mention that if consumers do start buying the PS3 only for movies.(Which a lot of people might have already}. It gives PS3 a crap games attach rate just like the Wii.

The original Condemned was a highly uderrated and overlooked games in my opinion. Of of favorite XBOX360 launch titles.
I really wish Sega would make more quality games like this. They were one of my favorite game developers back in the day.

XBOX live is always adding new content. New demos and even movies. I think digital distribution is coming a lot faster than most people realize.
Just look at how the music industry is now with the IPOD and all the various MP3 players. I never thought I would see that day. I can't remember the last time I bought a CD.
The movie indusry has already made millions on XBOX Live. It saves them money in the long run bc there are no packaging costs and/or media cost...

that the console with the higest install base is the lead platform for most multiplatform games. That is why last generation the PS2 was the lead platform for all EA games. And this gen it is the 360.
PS3 will always get EA games but they will be coded on the 360 first. Which will always lead to subpar translations. With the 360 dev kits being very similar to PC architecture where games are always made first.
This is the business model for most 3rd parties....

the most Next Gen of them all. It offers something completely new. Freehand motion control. Using two hands separately to play games. This is truly revolutionary.
I think the Wii is just an experiment to see if the motion controls would be a success. And obviously now that they are Nintendos next console will up the graphics big time and also have the new interface.
Just updating the graphics and giving sequals really isn't thinking outside the box to me.

I own 360, Wii, and also PS3. Look in my games BIOS, it is quite old but accurate.

But ultimately the first players to be available at a mass market pricepoint will be the victor. Around $100 to $200.
HDDVD will most likely achieve this pricepoint first. Consoles play a part in movie sales but not a major one.
If this was the case all consoles, PCs, and laptops would be counted as DVD players. Obviously most households have a standalone player if not multiple ones.

The Blu-ray Disc Association has only recently finalized the formats specifications, which most current players do not conform to. This includes the Playstation 3, and all of Sony’s own Blu-ray players. The lacking features include PIP support, part of BD-Java technology. Many players that even support BD-Java, do not support picture in picture.

Yuji Naka was the original designer of Sonic and I don't even think he is with Sega anymore.
