The gameplay is what makes Halo. Great graphics is just the icing on the cake.
I think it is funny how Sony fanboys usually rip on Ubisoft and say they are lazy bc the PS3 offerings of their games are usually horrible. And just to get them to run on PS3s crappy hardware at the same rate as 360 takes an extra year of development time.
But when Ubisoft throws them a crumb such as Haze being a time...

It would be really fun to be able to test out 4 player coop on the beta. I'm sure that Bungie wants to iron out all the final bugs before release.
I think one of the highpoints in 4 player coop is going to be taking on the covenant with 3 real players in the warthog. It always pissed me off when the AI controlled players in the warthog wouldn't do what you wanted them to.

Bioshock was hyped and it actually delivered. I am glad and I give credit to the developers.
For a game to receive +90s for review scores from various publications means Bioshock must be something special.

It would probably put HDDVD in the lead for the format war. I could see Microsoft doing this if Toshiba pushed them with incentives..$$$$

The format war will take years just like the last one. Just bc Bluray is in PS3 will not change that.
Even with millions of PS3s sold HD media makes up only 5% of DVD sales.
And that is HDDVD+Bluray sales.

Ad HDDVD is far cheaper. The only advantage that Blu ray has is more storage. If Toshiba wanted more storage they could easily add it.
HDDVD is cheaper for consumers as well as film studios. HDDVDs can be stamped out on regular DVD lines with minimal upgrades. With Blu ray requiring a whole separate line.
The only reason Bluray even has support is bc of PS3. HDDVD was on the market a full year before Bluray...
but there is no stopping the Wii.
Pretty soon it will overtake 360 in install base and the PS3 will be a distant 3rd.
just buy the standard definition version.

The PS3 is too large to have a portable screen.
I have one for my Gamecube and it is great only bc of the Gamecubes size.
Microsoft is not happy with the delay.
In the end this will only hurt Rockstar bc the Christmas season is huge for games. As I'm sure many have read their company is in the toilet.
Chances are that GTA4 would have sold a lot more copies Christmas '07 than in early '08.
