I am format neutral but I just don't see Toshiba laying down and dying. They were after all on the market first.
I admit that they are the underdog but they are still here even after the PS3 and the added support that Bluray has.
There are potential billions to be made here and i don't see Sony or Toshiba giving up without a truly tooth and nail fight.

It does suprise me though that 360 outsold the PS3 even with the PS3 having a $100 price cut. The 360 had no big games in July and the PS3 had Sigma I can only imagine what will happen when the 360 price cut starts having it's effect.
Not to mention Bioshock and all the other games coming in the next few months. Especially Halo 3.
It looks more like Dragonquest. Almost just like Dragonquest actually. I would say that lost Odyssey is what is going after the FF crowd.
6.5 is a crappy score so this game is probably just average. My favorite genre is RPG though so I am still interested.

Valve is a PC developer and the 360 dev kit is very similar to PC. This is the reason for the PS3 delay.
I have seen of SMG do look really good. Definately leaps and bounds ahead of what other companies are doing with the Wii.
I think as the Wii gets bigger in it's install base 3rd parties will harness it's graphics more. Let's not forget that the Wii is more powerful than the Gamecube(about 2x) and the Cube could pump out great graphics. Resident Evil 4 anyone?

When 3rd parties are looking for which console to support. I'm sure a software attach rate of 6.2 is very attractive to them.
This will lead to better 3rd party games on 360 as well as giving Microsoft more bargaining power for 3rd party exclusives.
3rd parties will definately want to support the console more that will give them the highest returns.
Hopefully this will be a motivator to push other developers to push the envelope and not just release subpar games.
I'm am glad to see that a truly great game is not only seeing great reviews but also seeing very strong consumer support.
These are the types of games that the gaming community as a whole. More intuitive ideas and less rehashes and movie licensed games.
even think PS3 owners care about this game. I think they just don't want 360 to have any exclusives that might be good.

I have liked many games that received poor reviews. But then again I judge just based on fun factor and not so much on graphics. Overall I am glad there are sources like EDGE bc I think their high standards of judging games is good for the industry.

This game was initially only being developed on the PS3 which means the PS3 version had more development time. And the 360 version still looks better. (even if the difference is minimal)

but I watched the video and it looks horrible. And they were comparing this game to Oblivion during it's development cycle. Morrowwind on XBOX1 looks better than this IMO. And the framerate was better too.
