For the best all around deal for next gen gaming it is obvious that 360 is the way to go.

With a starting price point of only $350 for a total HD gaming experience. With all 360 models now equippeed with HDMI you would be a fool to pass it up.

You have a bevy of a games selection to choose from almost 2 years in the making. With huge games just released such as Bioshock. And also Mass Effect and Halo 3 just on the horizon.

And lets not forget th...

that means only 15 gigs for gameplay. Sad if you ask me And I'm sure that 15 gigs could have been compressed to fit on DVD-9. Once again more Sony marketing BS.

How come it it only Sony's first and second party games that can only be done on Bluray?? Oh I forgot bc Sony said so. Just like next gen starts when Sony says it does...

Sony is laughing at you all the way to the HD Bluray bank.

Remember we must all work more hours to by PS3......

Bringing in new gamers to the gaming community. I have been a gamer since the NES era. So I say the more the marrier.

It could potentially be great for Microsoft bc these new gamers might perhaps see the graphics that 360 can pump out for relatively the same price as Wii.

So in the end they might end up picking up 360 also since it is only $280. I doubt that casual gamers would care about lack of HDD so they would probably pick up the Arcade model of 360.

made you pay a huge amount for PS3 so they could beat Toshiba in the format war. If you want to talk about payoffs.

You give new meaning to the word _emming. You figure it out.

Most bang for your buck Dodge Stealth RT/TT or 3000GT VR-4.

I have a 93. 3.0 liter Twin turbo AWD/AWS 320 HP/ 0-60 in almost 5 seconds stock. Highly upgradeable.

Sony does need to focus more on games. When you go to buy PS3 you get 5 free Bluray movies....What??...for what is seen by most(casual gamers) as a gaming machine.

Not to mention that a lot of electronics stores have Bluray kiosks next to PS3 displays. Sony has effectively eliminated their "core" gaming audience by pricing the PS3 at 5 or $600. Most people bought PS2 when it was cheap.

I think it should become painfully obvious what was most importan...

Unoptimized PC code ported directly to 360. Horrible framerates. Almost unplayable in my book. I guess I'll wait another 4 years to get another true open ended masterpiece from Bethesda.

HDDVD offers the most interactive features with U-control and also includes online functionality in every HDDVD player.

For the price and most features you can't go wrong with HDDVD with players starting as low as $299. Not to mention Universal(one of the markets biggest movie producers is going exclusive with HDVD), and Paramount just jumped in. All the other big movie producers are sure to follow when the cheap $199 players arrive this Christmas and start flying off shelves....

I see youtook out the time to report this story. I'm sure that you are concerned about it's quality.

Why don't you change your report to: LAME "Because this article is horrible for my personal Bluray loving agenda". At least I could respect the honesty.

does have its advantages bc you can get cutting edge hardware every year instead of waiting for consoles to move into the next generation.

Everyone knows that even when consoles are released the technology is already aoutdated. If you have the money the games will always be the best on the PC version as long as you have a rig with the best specs.

Console gaming is a cheaper way to enjoy the games which most often will run at lower resolutions and/or framerates. ...

"We want to make sure that we give the best experience we can on each platform. In designing a game, there are all sorts of tradeoffs that include frame rate, visuals, features, AI, etc. Football is an extremely challenging sport to replicate because of the number of people on the field, their interaction, and the scope of the environments. As you can see, every company making a football game this year made a decision that the best experience for the Xbox 360 included 60fps whereas the b...

You weren't saying that last gen when all the XBOX owners were getting PS2 ports just like the article stated. And you know what the games actually looked and ran better on the XBOX.

Kind of says something doesn't it. And since you say EA is "lazy" I offer you this flag for your avatar.

Blame Sony they are the ones who made the hardware not developer friendly. Which is completely their fault. Maybe they should have focused on great development tools instead of making sure they got the Bluray drive in the PS3. Priorities..eh??

The developers of GRAW2 did have a problem that is why the game was delayed over 6 months. As well as RS3:Vegas almost a year.

All-Pro also runs at 30FPS on the PS3 which is made by 2K. The games that can run at 60 FPS...

This is a duplicate story. Look at all the reports. Yet you still approve it. You are making a mockery of the report system as well as this website.

All this article states is that they didn't use the SPUs for the PS3 version...AKA it is a port.AKA not optimized for the cell architecture. AKA It did not. I repeat did not use "any power of the cell." And you guys applaud it. I like how you read the headline but totally ignore the jist of the article.

PS fanbase to speed up the adoption of Bluray. They knew being second on the market that they would stand no chance of beating toshiba. Toshiba had a year headstart and a huge pricepoint advantage. Thus Sony used the PS3 to even things out touting that Bluray was "needed for gaming". In the end their loyal fanbase suffered bc of the high pricepoint of PS3, $600.

So in effect they have alienated most of their loyal fanbase by pricing too high and have also alien...

Translation
This game was coded on the PC first. Then it was put on a 360 dev kit(which is very similar to PC architecture). So it runs great. Especially with the ease of use of the XNA tools.

We just ported the code over to the PS3 and since the cell architecture is so drasticly different from the PC we don't even use the SPUs.(Like most other 3rd parties.) It doesn't run nearly as good as the 360 version so we had to delay it. We are just like all the other developer...

Probably the best in the series. I have all of the SNK games on my PC in MAME. NEO-GEO truly did pump out some classics. It's too bad it was way ahead of it's time and uberpriced.

A lot of people don't know but SNK was actually founded ny exCapcom employees. I actually prefer SNK's artwork over Capcoms. It was really cool to see all the Street Fighter 2 characters redrawn in SNK style artwork in SVC Chaos for the original XBOX.

I would buy this game again on...
