I don't know what it is about Miyamoto+ Mario but no matter what it always = a lot of fun. One of my favorite games of all time is Mario64.

Can't wait for Mario Galaxy.

2K and Irrational games just showed that they are great developers. I don't think it had anything to do with the Unreal Engine 3. Most developers I have read about complained about it.

It takes a true visionary to make Art. Some people are talented and others aren't.

a physical copy. But I realize eventually games will be just like the music industry. I can't remember the last time I bought A CD. It's always an MP3 or some other kind of download.

Digital Distribution is coming it is just a matter of when and can people adjust to it.

this year. There are AAA games being released every month up until Christmas. Halo 3 is going to rule sales for the Holiday season. With so many great games this year one can only imagine what Microsoft has cooked up for '08.

that Warner could be next to go HDDVD exclusive. Why else would they list the virtues of the HDi technology on their website. Not to mention that they haven't ben releasing anything on Bluray really either.

I think there is more going on with these cheap $199 DVD players behind the scene than anyone knows except Toshiba. Even Michael Bay mentioned them in his weblog. After the Paramount exclusive deal was announced.

Overall this Holiday those cheap $199 player...

Sony has overpriced everyone this generation. HDDVD will beat them on price in the HD media war. Both Microsoft and Nintendo will beat them on the console front in price.

If Sony would have opened a history book he who is stuck in the middle of a "two front" war rarely wins.

The DVD-9 casual movie goers will most likely upgrade to HD media at a $199 pricepoint when they purchase an HDTV.(which are dropping rapidly in price). Most likely the $499 price...

I would have to give it to Bioshock as of now. It is something totally fresh and original. I would like to see more of these types of great new IPs so I just want to give it the props it deserves.

Great new IPs are something rare in this industry bc taking risks in something new is something that most companies aren't willing to gamble with.(because of the rising cost of game development.) I haven't played Mass Effect yet but Biowares track record is flawless so we shall see...

You have just witnessed a genuine historical moment. The turning point in the HD format war. It is obvious that Paramount knew something and this is it.

With HDDVD offering more features and now having a mass market price point of just $199 you would be a fool to pass it up. Not to mention that Walmart sells 50% of DVDs sold everywhere.

When these players come out this Christmas it will be a big turning point for Toshiba. Toshiba is also puting HDDVD drives i...

has captured the heart of everybody. It is basicly the new Ipod. When Ipod minis first came out you couldn't find them for months.

I say good for Nintendo. They pretty much made console gaming what it is today. Now where is that new Wii Zelda that has been rumored to be in production.

will rule Holiday shopping this year. It will become the fasting selling game in video game history. Sonyfanboys....beware....Come September 25th you will be in the crosshairs of the Covenant Beam Rifle.

have an average RPG to play on 360 until Eternal Sonata, Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey come out this year. Than own a system with zero RPGs coming out this year.

this Christmas Wii and 360 will be flying off the shelves with proven AAA franchises such as Halo and Metroid. PS3s will be a dust riden wasteland with too high of a price and a Bluray kiosk next to every PS3.

One thing is for sure, if you want the best versions of EA sports games all running at 60FPS which a lot of casuals buy. Would you rather pay $280 to play it or $500 to play it. Or possibly even $600 after the PS3 clearance sale.

The simple fact that you think that you can "futureproof" technology makes me realize you are a blind lemming.

By your philosophy we would still all be watching black and white television. Reality Check......You can't futureproof technology....just more marketing BS from Sony. If the PS3 was futureproof there would never be a PS4.

At the time of a consoles release it is already outdated by the PC market.

Ars Technica reports on a survey of 6,260 responses which indicates that only 40 percent of PS3 owners knew that their console included Bluray. Apparently a large portion of gamers aren't aware of the non-gaming capabilities of their systems.

over Bluray players. Sony only put Bluray in PS3 to win the format war. To slant the install base if you will. Don't you think it is rather funny how the ratio of PS3s sold worldwide is more like 10 to 1 to HDDVD players but only 2 to 1 in disks sales. This is bc most people who have PS3 don't buy Bluray movies. On the other end of the spectrum people who buy standalone units or HDDVD add on buy lots of movies. Otherwise HDDVD would already be dead.

Sony knew they stood n...

FF and MGS4 are the only two third party games they need. As time progresses through the holiday the gap will continue to grow bw the 360 and PS3 install base. As soon as the clearance sale 60 gig PS3s are sold through and the price is once again $600. And the 360 starts at just $280.

A fanboy made video belongs in a blog or forum. Stop flooding this site with garbage just bc you like PS3.

The comparisons are really mute bc they are 2 totally different genres. I think they are similar just bc they are both in a sci-fi universe.

Either way Bioware is the master if the RPG genre. As is Bungie for the FPS genre. So I guess this is more of a compliment to both studios if anything.
