Halo 3. I'm just over half way through it and I would say... it's OK. Good, but not great.

I've always felt that I had to at least complete one of the Halo games to really consider myself a gamer, and not having an original Xbox the first two were never touched.

It has tight, responsive gameplay yes... but it has an over the top arcade like feel to it to me. For the most part, it takes at least a full clip of ammo, maybe more, to dispose of nea...

Optical summed it up nicely.

Way more variations of games to choose from that you know you'll ALWAYS be able to play without upgrading anything.

This is what I was thinking. Of course if the digital sales aren't counted then it will definitely be more.

*EDITED* due to misinformation that I previously posted ;)

Can you imagine multiple subscriptions from a handful of publishers... just to play a few games?

I would find another hobby in a heartbeat.

This pretty much sums up my whole viewpoint of the PSP in general.

Ghost of Sparta/Peace Walker/VC2... should have all been on PS3. Hell, the game engines are already in place. I don't really get the mobile gaming aspect I guess. No interest whatsoever here.

Setting a deadline to finish a game is a terrible idea.

Why put a restriction on a game just so you can play another one? Either the game gets you or it doesn't. If you don't feel like finishing it, then don't. Move on, it's that simple.

If you like the game, take your time and explore everything it has to offer.

Alan Wake + Move would = WIN.

I for one enjoy the more linear approach to this game though. I don't necessarily wish to wonder off for endless hours in the woods.

This keeps the story moving anyhow.

and it's a damn shame really.

There.

I bought a 360 again (yes, I traded mine in a while back) mainly for this game and I certainly wouldn't have had it come to the PS3.

So far, it is leading my GOTY candidate.

I probably wouldn't have re-bought the 360 if it was available on PS3.

Alan Wake was a system seller for me and the game was worth every penny.

Gotta say though I do think that it would've done better with Sony's fan base, and if it was exclusive... forget about it.

I still cannot believe it hasn't hit a million copies sold yet. Such a shame for an excellent game.

My main problem though is that there are too few JRPG's that have an adult character as it's protagonist that you can relate to.

5665d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm sorry... but it doesn't matter how "deep" the story is.

Nearly all JRPG stories are told through the eyes of an immature pre-pubescent teeny bopper, or at least one that acts as such.

Now for example, if more JRPG's were based on some anime type characters like D from Vampire Hunter... I'd be more interested.

Until this happens, you can keep 'em.

For ages 12 and under.

*EDIT* minus Demons Souls

List is spot on for me. Even though I have to admit that I really started to loose interest in Red Dead while I approached the finish line.

Ico & Shadow of the Colossus costumes for LBP. HD reboot confirmed.

Well, they're all just opinions anyways... but I can't for the life of me see how Metal Gear Solid 4 was overrated, yet Halo 3 was not.

I do however agree with Braid and a couple of others. Braid just didn't do it for me at all. Might have to go back and play it again though to be sure.

However, for some reason it works for me when it comes to Alan Wake.

The episodic nature of the game fits this model. It's like having to wait for the next season of your favorite TV series.

Obviously it'd be great if everything was there on the disc... but it's more palatable with this game than with others.

I just hope Remedy can manage enough profits on this one so that we get more Alan Wake in the future.

At least with some type of free play for a while it would make the decision much easier for most.

you sure took that as a personal insult! Let's face it. I'm a lifelong PlayStation gamer and I think these gloves are about as lame as lame gets.
