I sincerely hope they did add more variety in that department. They've mentioned alien jungles and space so my fingers are crossed.
To be totally honest though, if it happened to be mostly like KZ2 I wouldn't really complain. Shooters this gen have been defined by their own look and feel without really straying too far from home.
Halo is going to look like Halo, Call of Duty will look like Call of Duty (regardless of setting) etc....

I gotta go campaign first out of habit... really inclined to start unlocking armor upgrades upon launch though.
Definitely worth playing that's for sure... the demo had me conclude this much. will have to see what else is releasing around it though before making the decision.

I agree when it comes to the campaign of Halo.
I'm currently having a blast with the multiplayer, but when people say they can't wait for the amazing campaign I have to wonder what other games they've played. There are some excellent set piece battles, but the delivery of the story is not very engaging at all... thus far anyways.
Lets hope that changes with Reach.

Granted they have all of the building blocks already in place, so here's to hoping.
Making "choices" in games is completely overrated.
Give me a well told story over having to choose which road to take and mediocre decision making any day.
I hope that they're afforded to the opportunity to expand on this franchise.
People tend to lay a lot of unfounded criticism on Alan Wake. The game has tons of atmosphere, top notch presentation, great soundtrack and an engaging story... all without the over the top blood and guts. I thought the use of light was downright awesome, and the episodic narrative was perfect.

I actually tried downloading it off of Live late last night, and it kept stopping the download after 2 or 3%.

That box after all does include their most important franchise, and to have a gimped version is unacceptable be it from Valve or anyone else for that matter.

I install every game I buy on the 360 anyhow. Load times are shorter, machine is quieter... no prob.
I'll be getting the better version of this wherever that may be, whether it's on one blu-ray or 2 dvd's.

Some of the gimmicky collectors consoles like the Halo/Final Fantasy ones, after a while look dated and out of place in any entertainment center.
The new Reach console looks cool too... but that initial wow factor wares off.

yeah, N64 had THE best wrestling games... the SVR games since "Here comes the pain" pretty much mirror the television shows. AWFUL.
