Would it make all you idiots feel better about yourselvs if we start calling X2 and PS5 10th gen? or that Nintendo exited the console space with the Wii U and starting the first generation hybrid system. All semantics and totally meaningless, of course
While true, the article is discussing the current generation, which is the consoles available now. Nowhere does it state 8th or 9th gen, which is completely irrelevant anyway. We really need to stop numbering these.
If these games were on the Switch, even with serious downgrades, I'd still get it on Switch. Off TV and portability beats resolution and 60fps every time.
There are about 3-4 of these that are legitimate problems, the rest are just someone lamenting about something they wanted that isn't there. If something works as intended, it isn't a problem. Complaining about something that isn't there just because you wanted it isn't a problem. That seems to be a "you" problem.
Majorlazer. PC is not a console. They have to optimize for every graphics card manufacturer and plan for variation in configuration, and literally everyone's PC is unique. It is not a simple task. Planning to release on two or three platforms that we know the specs and components of is much easier and generates more profit. If the sales are there, they will put more games on Switch going forward.
I hope they never ditch the hybrid console aspect.
True fans bought the Wii U and the games, but many "True" fans skipped the Wii U as some kind of half hearted protest or to make themselves feel better. True fans would want the games available to as many people as possible.
my vote is for whoever designed LoZ structures and enemies. I'm going to say Eiji Aounuma, just to put a name. They weave in historical aspects into the design of the towers and guardians, weapons, natural landmarks in Japan, and the world, especially BOTW, was carefully crafted from the homage to Iwata, to the dragons, to the enemy designs.
not sure why you take any of that article as "taking jabs" They just answered the questions. This is the first time one of the big 3 has not been at E3. It's kind of big news and makes people doubt the importance of it. Nintendo is defending E3, not taking jabs at sony.
4K. Games don't really need to be better than 1080P at this point. Developers trying to making things 4K is making games too big for current media, budgets too large, without the payoff that is worth the cost.
Your comments say much more about your lack of knowledge and gamer history than they do about Nintendo or their fans. What is the actual point of trolling Nintendo articles if you hate them so much? If that is the point, then, I need to learn not to feed the troll as they are never satisfied.
These types of articles always come from a point of view of an experienced gamer that may have played these games before and is looking for new experiences. New gamers enter the market daily and those gamers would rather play something more modern. Look at it from a business perspective and remasters are a solid investment. If they don't sell, then I suppose the line is drawn. I would much rather play a remaster of a game I haven't played then the old version on the eshop/virtual ...
Did you like the game?
never thought about that. That makes sense.
Not sure why you are getting so many disagrees. you clearly state a what if scenario. if it in fact takes away from the MP, I agree it could be an issue, but is is there any documented evidence either MP or SP suffering as a result of focus on the other?
I could see something like GTA suffering because of GTA online, but that would be difficult to prove.
What we are seeing is free to play seeping into our games and causing some disruption. Similar to A...
It's a free market, so if a game comes out with only multiplayer, then the masses will speak through sales if that is what they want. We really need to stop trying to analyze everything like we have stakes in it. There is still plenty of competition in this space.
That we know of.
I played AC3 about half the time on the Wii U gamepad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Small screen may not be that big of an issue. Though I did miss the gamepad screen map while playing handheld.
The article says they couldn't find PS4 data and for people to let them know if they find any. Why even publish without the best selling console on the market right now even in the discussion?
"We weren't able to find US or North America-specific numbers for the PS4 or Xbox One; if you know where they can be found, please pass them along and we'll update."
My biggest complaint is that open worlds are created at the expense of either game stability or general bugs. Looking at you Bethesda.
