This equivalent package was $80 at launch, $60 for the base game, $20 for the Luigi U DLC. At the time, the quality and quantity of the DLC was greeted with praise and "DLC done right" comments. Keep that in mind. $50 might have been a good spot, but many would still prefer at $40(everyone likes cheaper games, right), which would sell many more games. Fact is, if people don't buy it, they will eventually reduce the price. If people buy it, then there was demand at that pric...
Fun is relative to the individual. Entertained is the more appropriate term, I think. There are a lot more aspects of entertainment other than fun. Quality controls and challenging gameplay is fun to some, rewarding to others, stressful to many. all up to the individual. That's why there are all kinds of games available.
Even at half the orignal price, you are looking at $40, but originally this was an $80 game. Remember that Luigi U was a $20 dlc package for the game and was considered a generous DLC at the time. Agreed it is priced a little too high, but not outrageously.
I would absolutely include Yoku's Island Adventure on this list. It's different, but the same basic concept of get new item or ability, progress to areas previously unavailable
good overall list. Having only 15, some have to be left off, but this is a good start for anyone new to Switch.
People forget that Nintendo publishes and/or Develops many games annually in addition to making consoles. That said, the article is not well written is rather confusing. No wonder all the comments.
This is how you do it Twinfinite, not clicking 50 pages to maximize ads. Well done
Of course it could happen, but it would take an industry evolution away from home consoles to do it. Nintendo isn't going to ride the home console market until it dies completely and they lose everything. imo, they are positioning themselves well for the future with the Switch.
PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One. none of which are relevant to this article.
absolutely agree on both fronts. Nintendo should focus on continuous improvement of the Online offering and functionality in 2019. The voice chat on app, imo, is completely fine, it just needs messaging and better friends list coordination.
Nintendo obviously knows we want Mother 3 and doesn't give it to us. Heck they even joked about it in the E3 skit a few years back. It's almost like Half LIfe 3, except Mother 3 actually exists. I liked earthbound, and I have b...
Switch. Very simple. Continously improve Nintendo Switch online in 2019. This is the big issue.
PS4. Focus on 1st and 2nd party game development. next gen can wait
XBox Same as PS4
I'm a Nintendo guy, but I'll even say PS4. Switch made some moves despite the lackluster 2018 for games. XBox is also making moves and I wouldn't count them out at all. The market is very healthy, which is great.
Seriously, we like playing games on our Switch and would prefer them on our hybrid systems even with necessary downgrades. Not everyone has another console and not everyone just wants to play exclusives only. Is it so confusing to want more games? How many times have people slammed Nintendo systems for having no games?
As soon as you use the word fanboy, you lose all credibility. Not everyone is having problems of any major concern worthy of any sort of outrage of "free passes" Nintendo knows their problems and are clearly trying to address them.
What is considered Shovelware is based on personal taste, is it not? If there is a market, who are we to dictate what should be available for sale? Many of these Shovelware games might actually be fun for the right audience if given a chance. If a game is fun, I personally don't care what a game costs on another platform as they aren't the Switch and the cost is the cost, take it or leave it.
A KOTOR remaster would be amazing, but I don't see DISNE allowing it with the clamping down on everything being canon.
Seriously. The clue was predecessor and it clearly is. Didn't say THE predecessory, just predecessor. Stop looking for things to be outraged about. When will you all grow up and stop this trend.
The Wii U failed to sell well, still made money for Nintendo and they moved on. It existed and is beloved by many, misunderstood by many more, and hated by most of N4G. Get over it already.
Panic Button and their Switch port superiority. puts other devs on notice
We must have played a different game. There were a good deal of character interactions between the characters. you just had to have those characters in your party. Of course, I made an effort and leveled up every character basically equally so I had a different party constantly.
If they can do it without raising the cost, and splitting the fanbase, it doesn't hurt. People won't be willing to pay more, even with everything they want or think the Switch needs.
