To each their own. Making that kind of money the game clearly has an audience that is enjoying it. You should try 50v50 while it's available for more of a war feel. Also, you die and you have to sit forever??? Have you even played it? You can exit the game at any time and start another.
Fun game that i put a ton of time in back in the day, but it's 2018. I can't see a large enough community returning to keep it going.
I expect a HUGE player drop by next weekend.
VR is amazing. Maybe not perfect, but we're really just in it's beginning phase. The moment I began playing VR games and experiences, not only was I impressed, but I recognized that it wasn't perfect and that WOW! Imagine where they're going to take this technology over the course of the next decade and further. It'd be a major shame if the product failed too early before it can grow into the mindblowing potential its destined to bring.
Battle Royale games, like anything, isn't for everyone. I don't typically play games for more than a few weeks, but I've been playing Fortnite daily for over 6 months. It's not boring to me.
It's a free battle Royale game. It'll get plenty attention for the next week or 2 before gamers find something else or go back to what they were playing before.
Plus, people have a tendency to turn on what's considered popular. Almost as if they'll play it to spite more popular BR games.
It seems like everyone wants to hate on this game. Still a Day-1 for me.
Day-1 for me. I just need to know when that is.
Besides being free, the building is what makes Fortnite stand out the most. It's a true game-changer. Without it, I don't think I would be as invested in the game; and I'm not even that good at building. It'll be interesting to see how the big developers try to counter that aspect of the game. Imagine the frustration playing another Battle Royale game without it when you're so use to it being there. I started playing PUBG after Fortnite. I wished I could build often....
Fortnite might be free, but there is a reason Epic is making $100+ million a month off a free game. People are not just playing it, but buying into the cosmetics and seasonal BattlePass. Treyarch might be able to put together something better and being COD they'll have their player base, but not being F2P will likely hurt their chances of taking Fortnite's spot.
I think it's great. Nintendo gets a lot of praise for what it does with it's last gen tech, but look at how many current gen games are suffering after being ported over to the Switch. Of course, developers want their games played on a top selling device, like the Switch, but it's a slap in developers face to have to dumb down their product and a slap in Switch players face.. well, maybe not the players face since they knew what they were buying. But still, I want a current gen ...
I question what seems to be the standard 8s and 9s most games tend to get when first released. It seems rare to me to see anything under a 7; especially from a well established critic. It's like bonus points for just being new.
The more reliable reviews usual show up about a month after release.
I'm just saying the industry taking a few years off pushing single player campaigns might not be a bad thing. Eventually, some small developer will release a massive hit that's single player only and all the top developers will jump on the bandwagon again. It's a never ending cycle of what's hot and not.
Sometimes what's old needs to take a vacation to become what's new again.
This controller is a God-send for a lot of gamers; especially those who maybe use to play games, but thought they would never be able to again due to their unfortunate circumstance. Props to Microsoft for making this a reality.
I wouldn't worry about Boss Key's unemployed developers. Sure, some might have to relocate, which sucks, but it was just a few weeks ago Cliffy was asking Epic Games to stop trying to steal his team, which considering what has since happened makes Cliffy look like as big a douchebag as we've always knew him to be. But there are tons of jobs available for developers, so these guys will ultimately be okay.
I think in part it's that games like Battlefield still rely on the proven, yet old MP formula that has been milked to death for the last 20 years.. Where as, Battle Royale games have modernized that formula in a new, exciting way.
Not letting them play certain games? I don't agree with this. My 10 year old plays Fortnite and prior to it she regularly played GTA V. Yet, she makes straight A's, has friends, and she's never been in trouble; not at home, never at school where the teachers love her.
I understand some kids are more mature than others and I've always raised my kid to be independent and to think for herself. Sometimes, you just have to trust your kid to do right by the ...
Didn't they just update the engine with 2K18? I thought that was the main reason the game is no longer on last gen consoles.
I never bought any.
