I was really hoping the next Fight Night game would support Kinect. I guess they could always add it later, like they added Move support for Heavy Rain. But we'll probably be stuck waiting another year.
Odd I'm not experiencing anything the reviewer experienced. My lag times have been pratically non-existant and my wife and I, in our small, cramped living room have had no problem enjoying multiplayer games, like Kinect Adventures together. How big is the reviewer if he's requiring so much of the player space that another person can't fit into it?
But what really bothers me about all the reviews I've read about Kinect is all these game reviews suddenly mak...
well, it is the FALL season, which is when a lot of the bigger releases of the year come out. did Activision plan the date to correspond with Remembrance Day? probably. but so what.
i personally think Medal Of Honor is a superior game; atleast, as far as single player goes. Call Of Duty does have the better multiplayer, though.
please Lord, do NOT let Activision get a hold of Harmonix. if that happens, the music genre truly is DEAD DEAD DEAD. come on, EA.. time to step up your game.
i guess Destructiod's check from Activision got lost in the mail.
i'm all for an honest review, but i can't see how so many review sites continuously praise the Call Of Duty franchise. it's the same game year after year with few improvements, which didn't really bother me much UNTIL i put in Black Ops and said to myself "this is just like MW2.. ugh!". i can't see gamers continuously supporting the same format and i really feel that Black ...
i'm man enough to admit that game developers are a heckuva lot more creative than i am. so, i'll sit back and wait and see what happens with Star Wars and Forza. people seem to forget the industry hires some of the most creative people in the world and if you base future Kinect games on it's launch titles.. well, you are just a fool.
i kinda ran into this problem earlier today playing Call Of Duty: Black Ops online. i noticed the little microphone emblem would pop up anytime i said something in the game lobby and then when the game started somebody yelled out "turn down your damn TV." i had to go into system settings and "mute" Kinect.
it's crazy how it picks up EVERYTHING SAID! so, definately be careful with it, especially when playing online.
wow! just noticed the install is 6.9 GB.
Let Down in that a glitch just knocked all sound out of my game. i had to restart the game to get the sound to work again.
an 8.5, IGN? really? did Activision not pay you enough?
Microsoft definately needs to put a WARNING out about small children coming into the "play zone." My own daughter has had a few close calls herself. They also need to WARN about weak floor boards, ceiling beams and fans and STRESS the importance of KNOWING your play area.
Very 1.0? Okay, I suppose it is "1.0". It's new technology that's just hitting the street - It was designed to be stylish, to work, and to be CHEAP. Sure, Microsoft could have put better processors and whatnot inside it, but then that would have jakked up the price maybe a few more hundred, maybe even a few more THOUSAND. Who would have bought it then? Half the gaming community are already complaining about it's $150 price-tag and that's WITH a free game include...
Kinectimals isn't a bad game.. it's essentially just a series of "cute" mini-games, some of which you play with a "cat" and some you don't (while the cat watches in the background).
did microsoft drop the ball with the tag scans? yes and no. you don't see any tag scans for the pre-order bonuses GameStop and Amazon were offering.. that's because those were redeemable only thru a code. so, microsoft knew what it was doing. as for th...
father and kid's faults.. it was an accident. it happens. but as someone else says, any physical activity can (and probably will) lead to injuries. sports players get injured all the time. people that goto the gym and work-out get hurt. it just happens.
but much like nintendo jumped on the issue of throwing the Wii-mote into TVs, microsoft needs to educate players on respecting the play areas of others and being aware of each players location and what-not.
i'm betting that when we get the new Xbox in 2 or 3 years that they'll make it where Kinect (as in the Kinect of today) is compatible with it. i don't see a "new" Kinect coming anytime soon.
i bought Kinect at Kmart and i'm proud to ADMIT that.
it seems like too many "gamers" act like they're in high school (most probably are) and form an opinion based on "whats popular" with the cool kids. try Kinect for yourself and quit letting the "cool kids" tell you what is cool. Kinect is great!
you can goto your Xbox settings and there is a setting that allows you to BLOCK Kinect sharing any items, like pictures.
i just barely have the space for it, but i'm LOVING my Kinect!
i'm 34 years old and Kinect Adventures has been an absolute blast to play alone, with my wife and even our 3 year old has jumped into the game a few times. Kinectimals has also been fun for my 3 year old and my 8 year old niece played it for almost 3 hours non-stop lastnight. The demos included on the Kinect Adventures disc have been fun, as well, although we're not too into Joy Ride. the wife rea...
sony actually expects people to PAY for this service? WHY?
Considering the number of bugs Mercs 2 had and the suckitude of The Saboteur, I doubt gamers are going to be missing much.
