How dare Epic Games disrespect the players of other games by bringing highly popular and recommended game mechanics of those other games to their own game for the sake of their own players happiness.

Seriously. Why you got to be butt-hurt over this? If you're an Apex fan this will have ZERO effect on your game. It will affect you in NO way possible, whatsoever. Chill out. You'll survive this. Everything will be okay.

Thankful for BFV now. I paid full price for it, unfortunately, but BFV was the reason I held off on Anthem. So, thinking positive, I kinda got some of my $$$ back, although not really.

Actually, I have a PS4.. 2 of them. I also have PSVR and Nintendo Switch. Why? Because I like video games, not console makers. But I'm not blind or bandwagon what's trending, because I have a mind of my own, play the games I want to play, enjoy playing and recognize good and bad things when I see/experience them and don't buckle at the first signs of peer pressure. You know, like adults.

Because Crackdown 3 was one of their most highlighted, biggest releases on selling the Xbox One. To cancel it altogether could have been as bad as releasing it, but having spent as much money as they have, releasing it and maybe recouping some of that expense looks a lot better in the books than trashing it.

As for the other part of my comment on GamePass being on fire this month it's idiotic to disagree, but I'll just blame that on blind fanboyism so rampant here ...

GamePass is on fire this month, so there was no harm downloading and trying Crackdown 3. It was just a bonus on top of everything else GamePass is currently offering.

But as I've said before, I think Microsoft just wanted to get this game out, knowing it was going to be a dud, so they could move on to other things.

And I don't see the point in hating on wrestlers. They're just people like anyone else. So what, they wrestle. But to be fair, Ronda Rousey is more than just a wrestler. She's an actress. She's a former UFC champion. She's a former Olympian. She's a legitimate, badass fighter who could stomp you, me and everybody else that posts on N4G.

And considering how long it takes to develop a video game, she probaly had th...

No it's not. VR is red hot and getting hotter. No cool down. Microsoft owes it to Xbox players.

Unfortunately, arguing, because someone likes something you don't approve of, despite their interest having zero effect on you, is the way of the world. It's stupid. Silly. But we're hardwired that way, as if thinking we must save them from such terrible taste.

@Smokehoude

What's to elaborate? We live in a world where we're constantly exposed to ads trying to sell us something. Commercialism is all around us.

I'm fortunate enough to have an Xbox One X, 2 PS4s and PSVR. I use to only play PS4, but when I found out my cousin plays on Xbox, I made the jump. Now my PS4 is for VR and exclusives, but I don't have any friends there to play with. So, for social reasons, Xbox is my primary gaming console, even though it really doesn't offer anything more than PS4 outside of some slightly enhanced graphics. Still, you gotta be where your friends be.. and when ...

You say that as if commercialism isn't in every other aspect of your life and entertainment.

VR on PS4 is the #1 reason VR is still a thing in 2019. Without that platform, millions could never afford to try VR and without millions trying it, there would be no games being developed.

Xbox gamers want VR and come time to buy a new console next gen, a lot of Xbox fans are going to strongly consider the jump to PlayStation if Xbox doesn't do something w VR.

Every game if flawed. What I'm curious about is rather EA will allow Respawn to quickly address any issues the fanbase has. This is something I love about Epic is regards to Fortnite. Epic is always throwing in new modes, items and are good about listening to feedback and making necessary adjustments. I think this is vital in the Battle Royale genre.

Bethesda. Not touching it.

I honestly feel like Microsoft knew this game was going to be a dud, but they needed to get it out and buried so that they could hopefully renew themselves in the future once the dust settles on this. And it will, because in a month or 2, after years of speculation, nobody will finally be talking about Crackdown 3.

To each their own, but I'd be willing to bet a lot of players jumped on Apex Legends, because they ran out of challenges in Fortnite and they followed the crowd, like most do. Now some of that crowd has a reason to return to Fortnite.

Whatever the case. This move isn't an Apex Legends killer. But it might slow down Apex's momentum, while advancing Fortnite's.

Competition is GREAT for the consumer.

Genius move on Epic's part. It gives players to log back in immediately to complete spread out challenges and then keep logging in to do the BattlePass challenges, giving players a reason to keep playing the next 12 weeks.

I'm just gonna sit back and wait for Fortnite's reaction. Competition is GREAT for us consumers and Apex is going to push Fortnite to up it's game. Hopefully, in a big way. My biggest worry is that dark cloud hovering over Apex called EA.

I'm super excited for Crackdown 3, as long as it's nothing like Crackdown 2.
