Absolutely agree. It needs that 3rd party support. Right now I couldn't justify owning just a Switch, missing out on so many 3rd party titles would be brutal. I just feel like right now the Nintendo brand appeals to such a small audience.
When I saw this I literally got upset. Like who's going to find that fun? They need to quit wasting time on these gimmicks and get back to creating a platform for hardcore gamers that includes those iconic IPs that only Nintendo can provide. But no, instead we get to see what it's like to milk a virtual cow...
Ya but the "real" gamers didn't go out and support the Wii U in the first place. You gotta look at the big picture which imo is that the Switch basically cost $370 if you plan on gaming traditionally. I can get a PS4 or Xbox for cheaper and with a much greater library. Not saying the Switch won't be worth it down the line but it's competitive advantage imo should have been its price point.
You can't read too much into the Switch being sold out. The fans that want it now are going to run out and get it at launch similar to how they went out and bought a Wii U. The same Wii U that's sitting at 12 mil sold since 2012...
Silly question, all you have to do is visit n4g for one day to see just how much gamers care about exclusives. It's a big deciding factor when it comes to purchasing a console imo. Not much differentiates the XB1 from the PS4 and what it really comes down to is which exclusive library do you prefer. Having a number of quality exclusives can sell ppl on a console.
$200 would have been a sweet spot. I think many would have considered it at that price. $300 is way too much considering you also have to buy a $70 pro controller if you wanna play games traditionally.
Well let's see, I was excited for both the Switch and Horizon going into last night. It's now Friday morning and I'm only getting Horizon. I think Nintendo really screwed things up yesterday. Maybe now we'll be able to play their games across all platforms.
