I can speak to how great the demo is, never played the original and had no interest in this game initially either. After experiencing the demo I think it'll be something special when it releases. The action was arguably the best I've experienced this gen, the stick shooter mechanics along with the hack and slash style combat was phenomenal. I loved how fluid it was to transition between the different weapon sets in order to perform some really cool looking combos. I can't wait for...
For me it's...
1.Horizon
2.P5
3.NieR Automata
4.Gravity Rush 2
5.UCLL
6.Nioh
7.Ni No Kuni 2
If the Switch bombs the way the WiiU did, then I honestly think Nintendo is done making hardware. They'd convert to mobile gaming and just making software and we might even start to see their games release on PS, and X1/Windows10.
Inside was so refreshing, I can't wait to see what playdead does next.
I wonder if you can upload your own music in scalebound so that whenever he puts on his headphones, your music will play instead of whatever playlists the protagonists will be forcing you to listen to lol.
I just have a feeling Horizon will be great, everyone i know that's seen it in person or played it have nothing but praise for it. Also it's apparently reviewing well internally which sounds fishy, but in actuality internal reviews are often more objective than external reviews. So this is really good news to hear, bring on 2/28!
Sony will imo, I think Horizon, P5, Nioh and NieR will all do well critically. I imagine Forza will be a great game and Scalebound will finish around the 80s on meta but as of right now MS doesn't have much to offer in the exclusives department. Nintendo is who I'm curious about, haven't purchased one of their consoles since the GameCube, so I'm very curious as to what the switch will be and what games it can offer me. It's been a while since I've owned all 3 consoles ...
F*** I totally forgot I did play 9 long ago but vaguely remember it, and I did play 14 lol. So it's the first non online FF game I've played in a long time.
I'm predicting this years e3 will be epic again, year of dreams 3! From software will announce a game, sucker punch will announce theirs, more GoW, Spider-Man, and Days Gone footage. Hopefully more Ni no Kuni, Uncharted LL, and new VR games.
I might be too busy playing Horizon but as soon as I finish I'll be scooping this up. My only concern is it comes out so close to Horizon and P5, it'll interfere with my playing time for one if not both of them lol.
It already got delayed and EA waited along time to be absolutely certain about this date. The fact that it's been announced so close to the release date also tells me they're confident about March 21st.
Whooo!!! Omg the first 4 months are going to be a gamers paradise. GR2 in Jan, Nioh, For Honor, and Horizon in feb. NieR, Wildlands, and Switch in March. And of coarse P5 in April, I hope you saved your Christmas money folks! I just hope I don't get RPG fatigue lol.
For me it's not worth how long we had to wait but I am enjoying my playthrough. The combat is fun and I enjoy just being present in that world, running around doing hunts and side quests has a weird calm and relaxation to me. The soundtrack is honestly just ok, I heard ppl praise it for its music but I simply don't see it. Game has terrible voice overs imo and the story so far is pretty bland. One of the main plots of the game is the friendship between the guys, and so far I'm not...
I'm going to say ID, wasn't really expecting Doom to be much but it ended up being one of my favs of the year. We saw two beloved franchises get revived this year in Ratchet and Doom, I hope there will be more in the future but only if it's at the standard that ID and Insomniac set in 2016.
Good top 3! 2017 will be a great year for RPGs. 3 big ones to play within a couple months of one another
Ratchet for sure, revival of a dormant franchise. I'm stoked for any sequels that may come.
2017 is going to be fun, a lot of GOTY contenders already imo and some will obviously be announced later in the year. Horizon, P5, RDR2, ME:A, and Nioh will all contend.
No more, 4 was the perfect send off to a great franchise. I love UC but I don't want another game anytime soon.
This game is dead in the water...
Could be but it'll have some stiff competition this year. Horizon looks awesome, ME:A, and RDR2 are also coming this year, my guess is BoTW will be a contender but It's not guaranteed to win GoTY. Also there's always a couple sleeper hits that no one was anticipating to be GOTY. Look at Overwatch and Doom in 2016.
