I agree that not all games should be OW, mainly cause so many lack the content to make the world feel interesting. With so many OW games I find myself wishing the game was more linear, as so many worlds just feel empty and don't encourage me to explore. Feels like too much attention is paid to making these maps bigger and bigger, instead of creating fun content to place inside of these worlds. I couldn't care less when devs state that their open world is the biggest ever created.
Loved the demo, I'm on board. Was challenging but never felt impossible except for when I fought the sub mission boss, dude was making short work of me lol. Probably cause I was fighting him at level 9 though. Still can't wait for this game, it's likely going to be something I'll be playing for majority of the year, I don't anticipate that I'll beat it in two weeks before it gets replaced by the likes of Horizon, NieR, ME:A, and P5.
I like your predictions cause they're spot on with how I think these games will be released. I hate seeing ppl give TLOU2 a 2018 release date or sometimes even a 2017 date, it's not happening. I think we get Detroit, Ni No Kuni II, and GT sport this year. I want Days Gone but I think it gets pushed to early 2018 along with GoW. Spidey in Oct, along with SP new game that fall. TLOU2 early 2019, Death Stranding mid 2019, and Horizon II early 2020. I know some of these games haven't ...
Ya me neither, no spidey till 2018 along with GoW if i had to guess. I think Ni No Kuni, GT Sport, Days Gone, and Detroit all get release dates aiming for the second half of 2017. Ni No Kuni in September, GT in Oct, DG in Nov, and Detroit in December.
@Nuka
Ya I forgot about it getting pulled but that might just mean Sony didn't want to reveal the release date that way. I highly doubt PSE made just a random mistake, they probably knew the release date but didn...
If those got release dates for Q4 I'd have a heart attack lol. Sony's lineup is already so impressive and we're only in Q1, with more to be announced. I can see Days Gone and maybe Detroit getting holiday release dates at e3. Sony supposedly doesn't want to give release dates until they're sure they can hit it. Smart move.
For me 80+ hours on one game is not automatically a selling point, if a game is filled with that much content I've really gotta be having a ball in order to log that many hours. I actually enjoy short 10-15 hour experiences in between these massive open world games. Plus we're approaching open world season here soon with Horizon, ME:A, NieR, Zelda, and P5 all coming out in a few weeks. I need some shorter experiences to fit in between these games lol.
That conference would be 2 hours easily with all this packed in lol. Cut the CoD, Banjo, Gears teaser, and bunch of indies stuff and I think you're predictions are valid.
I expect to see a full reveal and info blowout of Scorpio, as well as a few reveals of Scorpio exclusives. Thinking about it now I think Ubi took a year off AC to put the next installment on Scorpio. We'll probably see Crackdown 3, a new IP, and a CG trailer of Halo 6 that should look glorious running on Scorpio.
Interesting, waiting to see the rest tonight when the embargo lifts to determine whether or not I'm getting this or Yakuza 0.
Close to 150 GOTY awards now. Well deserved, it was a spectacular experience.
It's been a while since I've been this excited about a number of exclusives at once. E3 should be electric if they show gameplay of everything revealed at last years e3, include a couple new reveals and we have year of dreams 3 ppl!
Where'd you get it for that price?
Fanboys want the game to be bad
After beating this game, the repetitiveness of the side quests along with those dreadful final chapters, I'd give it a 7/10. For much of the game I thought it had plenty of issues but what it did good it did well enough for me to enjoy the game. That opinion died around Chapter 13. The story was not good and the brotherhood between the 4 friends felt forced. Overall it had some cool moments and I enjoyed the combat, dungeons, art style, and some of the hunts, but the cons certainly outwei...
interesting perspective, I never cared about Yakuza but the recent reviews of 0 and how they've been highlighted have encouraged me to finally jump in. However I'm more open now to all sorts of games than I've ever been, could be that I'm just looking for good games wherever I can get them.
Zelda has always been more relevant than KH
@edmix
You seriously suggesting KH is more relevant than Zelda?
Lol for sure. Millions of ppl around the world excited to milk a cow.
Ya I know lol mainly 9s is what I've seen. Just saying, someone's going to poop all over this site for giving a negative review.
Still around for sure, I just don't think VR as tech is where it needs to be to really take off in the industry. It's a cool way to play games but right now majority of content on the unit are just experienced and not fully playable video games. I get motion sickness if I try and play for any longer than 30 minutes so it really kills my drive to try anything else. Once they find a way to neutralize this problem I'll be back on board. To me a lack of exciting content and the curren...
Both are very divisive, some love them some hate them. Haven't played TLG but I found FFXV good up until Chpt 12.
