I played the demo* at Best Buy yesterday, Arcade mode, and even that had damage. So you uninformed trolls can stfu.
*I couldn't resist! Unfortunately I'll have to wait a few months before I can buy it.
I hope we get GT6 sooner than 16 years from now!
It's already got OVER 200 PREMIUM CARS.
How many do you people want?? And please let us know which "issues" you're referring to.
I hope that by "monthly updates" he doesn't mean monthly patches.
I won't be able to buy the game until probably June next year, or possibly later--I don't want to have to install half a dozen patches before I can play... It'll take all day to install all that!
If he meant monthly PSN download updates, then that's awesome. And hell, I'd even be willing to pay a few bucks for them. Polyphony definitely deserves every penny of ...
You're absolutely right to count multiplats as games 360 owners could play. If you count them, yes, the 360 had a lot of games this year.
But in a fanboy's point of view multiplats don't count since they cancel each other out--they're available on both consoles. Their argument is that, if you'd owned a PS3 instead of 360, you could have gotten all the multiplats plus the PS3 exclusives. And if you look only at exclusives, the 360's 2010 list was pathet...
There's more than 2 games available on the PSN Store for digital distribution. On top of the two you mentioned, Warhawk and Red Faction Guerrilla come to mind.
"Only being in the desert"
This is just complete lack of faith in ND. Their snow tech in U2 was amazing, but that didn't stop them from having a great variety of environments in the game. I'm certain this didn't need to make the list because I know ND wouldn't restrict the variety of environments in U3 just because their sand tech is impressive.
One thing I hope U3 doesn't do:
Force you to kill every single enemy...
30$?? Forget about it. I might be swayed for 15$.
2011 will be incredible! But I think it's too soon to say climax. The next gen hasn't even been announced yet, I don't think this one is going downhill (what happens after a climax) anytime soon!
Auger. Makes shields too! :D
I think if you award RDR got GOTY, most people's reactions would probably be "oh, ok, looked like a great game, makes sense." Whereas if a (maybe more deserving) lesser known title, or one from a smaller studio, had won, there'd be a lot more controversy over it. RDR is just a very, very safe and conservative GOTY.
I don't care WHERE the review is from. If it's a blog, I'll call it out. I re-read IGN's review of MAG, and it was garbage. Author's main issues with the game were: "I suck" and "I don't like Domination". Does that sound like a review to you?
Here is what these very same phrases should have been, in a proper review:
"The learning curve in the game is quite steep, and the skill required above that required by yo...
"long, well-written, and informative review"??
It's a blog. A personal experience. In NO WAY a proper review.
And without a proper scale, and with the variety of content being rated without proper grading guidelines, scores are meaningless.
Four pages of this garbage? This guy needs to learn how to REVIEW a game, rather than BLOG about it.
"Even with the balked multi-player experience as it stands, people are still prepared to stick with it. I decided not to join them; turns out I didn’t have the right car anyway." If people are willing, and happy, to put up with it, maybe the problem is YOU?
It's unrealistic for a light as a feather 1000+ horsepower car with a fully flat aerodynamic undercarriage and spoilers to fly a few meters off a jump-shaped hill on the road?
I don't think so. Make the spoiler a bit wider and turn it upside down and that car'll probably take off!
2.2 mil for a portable GT game is not bad at all--in fact I think it's pretty damn good. The PSP numbers are great too--66 mil and some fucktards are still calling it a failure.
Also, 5.5 mil already for GT5 is ridiculous! In 12 days the game has sold half what its previous iteration sold in 5 years--that's amazing! And I haven't got my own copy yet, can't wait.
I HATE THE REDESIGN MAKE HER LOOK LIKE THE OLD ONE AGAIN.
Just kidding. It's a huge difference, a bit jarring to those who were used to the old Lara, but she definitely looks the part more now, in my opinion. Less femme-fatale and more adventurer-archaeologist.
But seriously new-Dante needs to die and return to his former glorious self.
Sunday and Clubman cups (did I get the names right? Been a while and I'll be getting GT5 in a few months) have had easier AI ever since I can remember--I started with GT2.
Fucken most of them "reviewed" MAG a few hours after the servers had been open. Hell it takes at least 20-30 hours to learn your way properly around all the maps and modes, and even more to qualify for all the leadership positions--one of the most FUN and IMPORTANT aspects of the game. And then it takes even more than that to level up high enough to get all the best gear that is an integral part of the gameplay.
Reviewers are bullshitters this gen.
It's absurd how sensitive the N4G community is.
btw if you'd check my comment history, you'd realize VERY fast that I'm a die-hard Sony and Polyphony fan, and that I RARELY ever say anything negative about either--so clearly I'm not trolling.
IT'S BASIC MATH. 1 car/week, 800 cars = 800 weeks = SIXTEEN YEARS.
Get a brain, and a sense of humor.
