The Vita, with all its input methods and studio backing, will provide games you can't have on any other platforms. So OnLive isn't a threat.
That's quite likely. But then he's clearly in no position to be writing a list of "Worst Launches Ever", is he?
Video games "journalism", I tell you...
If Disgaea 4 comes to the Vita then I'm buying both simultaneously! I want to get that game eventually for PS3, but I have so many other games to play on that console before. And I really enjoy playing Disgaea on a portable console.
I wasn't planning on getting a Vita for a while, but like I said I'll get one as soon as Disgaea 4 makes its appearance on it!
Really? Because Day-1 I was playing Resistance. A few days later I got into it online, and had a blast. Awesome launch title, IMO. By itself it insures that the PS3 was definitely not the worst launch ever.
Really, of the the "5 Worst Ever", 3 are on PS3, 1 on PS1, and 1 Sega-CD?
I know lists are subjective, but this is beyond opinion. It's just trolling, period.
I clicked it because I was actually interested in seeing some bad launch games throughout the history of Video Games. What I got was just yet another not stealthy PS-bashing article. Garbage article, garbage site.
My PSP is practically a NISStationPortable! Love their games ever since I got it.
Wait... What?
Isn't Jaffe hugely outspoken about being anti-used games sales? I don't remember specifically what his stance was on online passes though... But this pretty much means he isn't for them either, I guess!
Either way, I'm getting TM Day-1, so I don't care if it has an online pass or not!

Why would you post the article from your own website... just before you undergo *scheduled* maintenance?
lol
Pff, Aeons... Hastega (party) + Slowga (enemies) + Quick Hit 99,999 damage = decimate anything in the game. Forget Aeons.
I'll get it when it goes on sale... Whenever that ends up being!
"Weren't great"? MAG was simply amazing. Best multiplayer FPS I've ever played, hands down. Did you even play it? Or you just said that because that's the general consensus you got from reading about it?
There's nothing wrong with playing the original. Very quickly you won't care about the graphics anymore because you'll just be absorbed in the game.
Then play FFVIII and FFIX, too!
And maybe, while they were re-making FFVII, they'd have had an epiphany. "OH FUCK, THAT's why our games used to be so good! Let's start making good games like that again."
I'm sick of this site trashing good PS3 games just for the hits. I'm rating it down.
@Mav:
There's a difference between shutting down servers and expiring codes people are entitled to when they buy the game new.
Shutting down servers has always happened (although EA do it quite, quite soon with their sports games). On the other hand, not allowing you to play a game online, when you bought it (new, too), while the servers are still up? Inexcusable.
I used to defend the online pass. I buy my games new (buying on sale and bu...
Look, I want Versus as much as anyone, but think about what you said:
"when FF14 was finished... since Type-0 is done... because of Kingdom Hearts... FF13[-2]..."
All games that were supposed to come *after* Versus; all games Squeenix worked on before. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved all of Versus's manpower over to start work on XIII-3 tomorrow. Squeenix is really, really disappointing me. It's unbelievable how bad this company is...
Please inform me: what is it these people want to do with this hardware they bought, if it's not to play the games they're meant for? ESPECIALLY at the cost of not being able to play said games online anymore. To me, that alone should be enough to take whatever it is these people want to do with their consoles, and just do it on a PC.
"sell-out train"? Of course it's a sell-out train. Anyone with half a brain knows the Angry Birds craze isn't going to last, so they need to cash in as much as possible while they can. Anyone who thinks this brand has any longevity in it is an idiot.
