They would have still needed to poach a bunch of experienced staff from other studios, good developers with x years experience in the industry are most likely employed already as like everywhere in software development there is a shortage of talent.
It would be much easier to buy a small studio and expand it than start from scratch.
Huh, they closed the Bethesda deal on the 9th of March 2021, 1 day after the EU gave regulatory approval.
It took 5 months to close.
I've always been anti exclusive, I don't get why people ever thought exclusives were good for consumers.
We don't know that, I imagine they will continue to support Warzone on PlayStation but whether or not new Activision Blizzard games will come to PlayStation is a mystery.
Meanwhile, It's the top seller on steam at full price.
Thank you for telling us you are American without telling us you are American.
@Crows90 I don't think you understand us PC gamers. PS Now is great for giving PC gamers the ability to stream PlayStation exclusives but we would rather play them natively.
Using your example, Gamepass offers us PC gamers the PC version of Pillars of Eternity that we can run natively versus PS now allowing us to stream the console version of Pillars of Eternity.
Do you see the difference?
I actually like the D&D style combat so I hope it remains a tactical combat system and doesn't turn into an ARPG but I'll give it a go if they do change it.
I've already played this game on PS4, I wont buy a PS5 to play one game early but if there are lots of great exclusives that all aren't on PC at around the same time and the shortage of PS5s was over I would consider buying a PS5. I bought my PS4 and only played Bloodborne (which was worth it alone IMO), Uncharted 4, Last of us and Last of us part 2 on it so I guess 4 games is my tipping point
I probably have almost as many AAA games in my Steam library as an entire console generation gets. 725 games owned and a fairly large percentage of them are large AAA games.
That ship has sailed, it looks like both will have strong competition now that Intel has finally leapfrogged AMD again for once, This is good for us consumers, it's not good if one company dominates.
@badz149
They didn't match single core performance with the 3000 series, that's false information. The 3950x has the same single core cinebench score as an i9 7890xe which released 2 years earlier. AMD have been ahead of Intel in multi core performance for ages, it wasn't until the 5000 series that they matched Intel on single core performance, although they have now lost that lead to Intel 12th gen.

How are the console ports of cyberpunk treating you? Each platform gets shafted in certain games.
Most esports tournaments and the biggest esport tournaments (by prize pool) are played on PC.
No, it's also on PC. It's a PS5 timed console exclusive.
Steam just doesn't automatically approve refunds after 2 hours, they will be manually reviewed.
I dislike that map as it's so open it's hard to recharge your shields
Taking this seriously for a second, with the carbon footprint of life back then you can pretty much call any historical figure that far back a climate activist based on todays standpoint
Did you want them to change Senua into a man in the sequel?
@PitbullMonster Problem is Microsoft is a $2.1 trillion company, they don't really need the sales from PlayStation to survive. I hope they do keep it open to all platforms but in terms of need it's not balanced at all.
