Which would make sense if a PC Gamer who plays the old game can even get his hands on a PS5 to play the new game. Why limit sales to an already sales limited console when you can sell to a massive install base?
That's basically what Valve did with the Steam Deck, I imagine if Playstation did that their retail partners would get very angry though. Retailers love to block moves like this
It has no shot in becoming more popular than the Switch but that's fine. It's not the same product, one is a gaming console and the other is a handheld PC that you can do your work on if you so choose.
Yer I don't get why the console manufacturers keep using that same part when the drift issues are this well known.
@annoyedgamer I have had a PC that I have upgraded over the past 10 years, I'm not new to PC Gaming it's just my desktop isn't portable.
@Teflon02 Exactly, that's why I clarified that I probably wont be a lost sale.
Proton has brought a whole new world to Linux support. You can check what is and isn't supported here: https://www.protondb.com/
I have 500 games installed on a 6TB drive on my PC, I hope they build in an option to transfer games over your local network in steam.
If anyone wants the stats you can just get them from steam's all products page as it allows you to filter based on controller support. You wont find many games that release on console and don't have controller support on PC.
There are 55,953 games on steam.
25,272 have full controller support.
18,513 have partial controller support.
I am but for me a portable PC has more value than a console right now. I'll probably end up buying a PS5 later on though so I am not exactly a lost sale.
I personally am going to pick this up instead of a PS5 but only because I am a PC Gamer who normally only buys the consoles further into their lifecycles when there are loads of good exclusives to play.
So I'm not your typical Console buyer I suppose.
@Neonridr Every controller from Xbox to Playstation to Nintendo to Valve has had drift issues. They are all using the exact same Alps sensor.
You can also stream via steam remote play if you want to, so it can do both.
Pretty cool that it's a portable PC that you can dock and use to do your work on if you want. Nice to be able to use your device for whatever you want.
They are all using the exact same sensor from a company called Alps. https://youtu.be/7qPNyio3VD...
Found the source, it was a video from ifixit. They all use the same sensors from alps https://youtu.be/7qPNyio3VD...
Could have sworn I read that pretty much every gamepad uses the same joystick parts from the same company, is that not the case or is it more of an issue with how it's implemented in the joycons?
He doesn't blame the game, he just says it's not worth playing via playstation now on PC and recommends watching it on youtube over playing it that way if you just can't play it on a console.
I'd rather they didn't, it's crazy how many of the RPG studios are already in Microsoft's hands, it's nice to have at least a few remain independent.
Yes, there is a limit to even Microsoft's pockets if that's what you're asking? They don't have unlimited money they just have a shit load of it.
Looks great, I hope they expand the selection of cars to have more electric cars though. Would be cool to have the model s plaid, taycan, lotus evija and rimac hypercars. Not sure how they would balance them in a game that doesn't require you to refuel as these things at 100% battery would be quite hard to match without crazy modded cars or cars in much higher price classes.
