or truly has no idea that bullets do drop and take time to get to target..
Oh awesome, I could have sworn I read something earlier about no multiplayer. Must have mixed it up with another game.
looks like it is like farcry 1. You pull the left trigger all the way down and the screen zooms, you can't move as fast and your crosshair gets a lot more accurate but the gun stays off to the side instead of being exactly down and in front of your face. Effectively the same thing as aiming down sights but I guess the bonus here is the gun blocks less of the screen and makes it easier to see.
What I really like is how you pull the left trigger halfway and your movement co...
L4D games? Dirt3? Portal 2? There are still that do split screen on PC. Works great, especially since you get 1080P and each persons screen is really sharp.
Splitting 720P on consoles games really impacts what you can see.
Also, the article states "They said Serious Sam 3 will support four player multiplayer split screen including gamepad support."
They are obviously talking PC.
Deus Ex: IW was a crap game because it was a crap game, not because it wasn't identical to the first Deus Ex. Plagued with horrible performance issues and bugs, levels around 1/5 the size and lots of loading screens, overly simplified RPG elements, a terrible ammo system and other things made the game much worse. And not worse because it was different, but because it was legitimate issues with the game.
And as far as this generation, with games being 60 bucks and DLC galo...
I am going to play devil's advocate here. It was claimed that these new consoles, 360/PS3, would force a 60 dollar price for games. However, if PC games are made today and most sell for 50, and sometimes 40 bucks (Crysis 1 sold 40 brand-new, and you saw the tech and research behind it) and PC's are harder to develop for due to many configs AND is more susceptible to piracy, why would a new console generation increase the cost?
This generations games cost 60 because th...
Yes, servers are being shut down which causes EVERYONE to be unable to play MP. I am talking about credential servers, not dedicated. Last gen had hardly any games (if any) that were dependent on more than just XBL. What I mean by that is like the recent shutdown of many EA games. The game needs BOTH XBL/PSN working AND EA credential servers running or you get no MP. One of the great things about software is it doesn't degrade, yet companies put in artificial mechanics so your game can...
FUCK EA.
They are pissing me off now. So the Back to Karkand map pack is going to be 15 dollars if you don't preorder or get the limited edition? How much is the limited edition if you don't preorder?
A map pack for 15, sounds just like Activision now. I FUCKING WISH gaming never got so popular. This generation of xbox and playstation is a fucking joke. 60 dollar games, online fees/subscriptions, map packs for 10 and 15 fucking dollars, horse armor, s...
WHERE are you getting this 8-12 cores? Do you have any sources on that?
The article TITLE literally says new IP...
From what I heard, that difference in lighting is intended. In real life, if you are outside and are looking into a room that is dim or not lite, it will appear black. And when you are in that dim, dark room and see windows outside, it will be washed out and hard to see.
This is purely HDR at work. They also want to have these dark areas where the supoprt class can equip a flashlight and blind people with the sudden change in brightness and glare.
GTX 580 getting a MINIMUM of 55FPS and averaging 74FPS at DX11 max and 1080P?
That
Is
Fucking
Sweet.
Lol and what is wrong with PC playing this game?
SSAA can been done in pretty much any game. It is just running the game beyond what your display is and then downscaling. This causes a natural anti jaggy effect which is pretty much how our eyes work.
MSAA doesn't work with deferred rendering without a lot of work, AND if you do all the work to enable it, you need a huge amount of horse power as well, more than the normal amount.
So games like Crysis 2, halo: reach, kz2/3, crackdown 1&2, BF3, GTA4, m...
Just go read benchmarks. Tomshardware.com has their "charts" section and really lets you compare and sort, its amazing.

Wait wait wait.
"There was also the issue of having too little ammo, which apparently meant going all-out, guns blazing was a very short-lived option."
Um, ammo is supposed to be scarce, not infinite or overly abundant. If it is so abundant, what is the point of even having ammo in a game? ESPECIALLY in a game that is MORE than just a shooter.
Definitely play those on PC though. The PS2 version of Deus Ex 1 has what is normally 1 level chopped up into 2-5 load zones. Anyone remember liberty island and you start at the docks?
JUST the docks was 1 area....
There was no "back tracking" where you had to then run a whole level backwards. It is like playing mass effect 1, being on the citadel, and then
*SPOILER ALERT*
coming back to the citadel later in the game when it is getting fucked over by sovereign and there are fires everywhere and geth.
Same thing happened in Deus Ex 1. There were some locations you came back to (very few) and things where a lot different due to what was happenin...
I don't mind if they want to try and make their own "platform". However, the issue I have is not letting their game (or certain versions of it) go to certain competitors OR holding back DLC from certain competitors as a way to anti-competitively force the consumer to get a lesser version (or no version at all) of a product if they DON'T buy from them.
Garbage.
@Fluffydelusions
DX is just an API like OpenGL. While xbox has DX9 and PS3 has OpenGL 2.0, right now PC has DX11 and OpenGL 4.2
DX11 and OpenGL 4.2 are very similar, both support shader model 5 and more.
It comes down to how good of a GPU the consoles use really.
