and IGN pretty much said this game is trash. I just want to know how this story gets over 100 degrees?
actually has a decent GPU. It is a lot more powerful than the Gamecube. It just can't use higher resolution textures like the 360 or PS3. Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube was one of the best looking games of last gen. There is no reason that developers shouldn't be able to surpass RE4's visuals by a long shot.
I think that the main problem is PS2 development. A lot of developers are porting PS2 games to Wii, when it is capable of much better. It isn't a big secret that Wii developm...
You do realize there is a small chance that any electronic device can cause a fire, don't you? No more stove, toaster oven, etc. I guess we should all live in caves just to be safe.
And if you are referring to the faulty harware. I highly doubt the GPU coming dislodged from the CPU is grounds for a fire. Not to mention there are various appliances that get much hotter than a console.
The hardware has gotten cheaper and also the games library has increased = more hardware and software sold. The casual crowd most likely isn't willing to pay $350+ for a console.
I thought the article was pretty funny. I just didn't like the title they used.
is actually a pain. Because when you have to update MAME version you have to run USB from you PC and upload files to the cabinet HDD. MAME is always coming out with new versions and new games with different drivers. So lots of old ROMS become incompatible with newest vesion of MAME.
One thing about MAME though is most games are exact arcade conversions. The only bad thing about MAME is that it uses the CPU for most things so certain games run really slow like Tekken. Other emu...
is get a sound card with audio out jacks. I only have a desktop so I am not sure if they have them for laptops, most likely I would imagine.
The nicest thing about MAME is how you can map all of the buttons and inputs to a controller.
You can use any cabinet, and even an older PC. The only thing I never got was the twist top SNK joystick for games like Ikari Warriors.
It is just as easy to run the games on your PC though. Plus a lot more comfortable. What I do now is just run the emulator to my HDTV with the audio and video out jacks. It's even better IMO.
for 'true' Mortal Kombat fans. This game seems more geared towards the new generation of gamers. As a diehard MK fan I am truly sad.:(
Good Bye Mortal Kombat, you were a good friend over the years.
Mortal Kombat without blood and fatalities isn't 'Mortal Kombat' in my opinion.
I just found Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Preview. It also has a video interview with Ed Boon.

old-school MK fan. I think the best in the series has always been MK2 & 3. The game looks neat but it kind of seems like a gimic. I'm sure I will still like it. I just wish Ed Boon would take the MK series back to its roots.
@MK_Red above, Sorry about beating you by 7 minutes. :(
The Wii version seems to have more vibrant colors.
.
There was no code to embed video.:(
I also had problems opening video even with IE.
Three of my favorite games of all time are on that list.
Super Metroid
Super Ghouls N Ghosts
& Super Street Fighter 2 ( The Turbo Version)
Good luck to everyone...:}
already reaching over 8 million copies sold. It will probably be the 1st game of this generation to sell over 10 million copies. I guess the big marketing push that Microsoft used to promote it really paid off.
these are some impressive numbers. With the 360 install base approaching almost 18 million in 2 years the 360 will most likely sell far more than the original Xbox.
Not to mention with a games attach rate of almost 7 games per console, Microsoft will most likely see even greater 3rd party support for '08. They will also have great bargaining power for even more big exclusive titles bc developers will see huge returns on 360 game development.

for Halo 3 were good. They are very colorful. I think Bungie's graphical choice has more to do with their art direction than anything else. Just because graphics are photorealistic doesn't mean they are 'better'. It is really just personal preference.
There are cell-shaded games like Okami that I think have great graphics. Just an example of another artistic choice.
I still thought the pics were pretty interesting though.
