is one of the best RPGs ever. It would be great if they ported them to Wii, but wouldn't you rather have Shenmue 3?
I would take Shenmue 3 on any console. Maybe if they are porting them they are secretly trying to reintroduce this game to a new audience. All in preparation for part 3. (Fingers Crossed.)

It is surprising that GTA IV sold so well on the 360 with almost 20% of the 10 million install base buying it. The attach rate was similar for PS3, I am just surprised it is so close. I've heard a lot of people say on N4G that GTA is primarily a Playstation brand.
Just goes to show that brand 'loyalty' really doesn't mean all that much in the real world.
with sales in the U.S. I think the popularity of the 360 in the U.S is mainly because of the differences in culture. There are many Western Style RPGs releasing on 360...Fable 2, Mass Effect..etc. Not to mention many other types of western themed games in all types of genres. Also Micro's portfolio for the 360 is a lot more diverse than the original Xbox.

Companies lose money when they release new hardware. As the years go by the hardware becomes severely outdated by the PC market standards. So the games for consoles don't keep up with the technology and become dirt cheap to produce = all profit for Microsoft on the hardware + the software.
The only people who benefit from long console lifespans are the companies who make them. Do the games released over 7 years ago look as graphically impressive as what is releasing this year? ...
if you guys have read many of his interviews, but he always says that. He said that after he made Dead or Alive 1,2, & 3. He said he felt Team Ninja had finally made the ultimate fighting game with Part 3, and than low and behold part 4 came out.
I'm all for new IP's but he has a habit of always saying that. Don't be shocked when Ninja Gaiden 3 is announced even if there is a new IP in between the time period.

If you actually read the article. The 'ONLY REASON' the writer of this story claims that Mass Efect 2 is going multiplatform is bc Microsoft didn't talk about it at their gamers day.

One of the major problems in the original launch units was improper ventilation for the GPU, and also it's placement under the CD drive.
Chances are with the die shrink and new placement on the board it wold keep failures within the expected ranges.
Why would Microsoft do a redesign and keep the architecture the same way that would end up costing them even more money for repairs? It doesn't take an engineer to realize the obvious.

Actually no...If you read it Microsoft was referring to 40% of 360s sold. It had nothing to do with the PS3. = 40% of 360s sold were 'with' GTA IV and 60% 'without' GTA IV.

And in a sense the PS3 is getting squuezed out. The hardcore market seems to prefer the 360 = look at the software attach rate per console sold. The hardcore audience buys a lot of games.
And the Wii obviously caters to the casual crowd. Obviously all the consoles are competitors against one another. But Sony seems to be getting attacked on two totally different fronts.
