I think they should have made it Chloe's game in the Vita Uncharted title. I love Drake, but I have little hopes they will actually advance his character in that side-story.
Why would anyone want the guys at 343 to make an original ip? We don't even know if they can make a good game yet (a remastering of Halo: CE is hardly any indication). Bungie actually left Microsoft for the sole reason of creating something new.
When he mentioned that its "epicness" was one the weakest parts of the game, I stopped reading.
Easy to say you don't care about sales numbers when your game is going to sell 10+ million regardless of quality.
Who cares which version looks/looked better? It's still the best looking console game ever.
Isn't this review already over four years old?
Pic 25 is where the real action is.
Inb4 someone mentions they reviewed this higher than Skyward Sword.
Yeah, the article really had me going until he started whining about that one 7.5 review. Utterly pointless. Wake me up when the world makes a game that every single person in the universe loves to death because then reviews will be useless.
And then you look at FFXIV and see why most games aren't total rush-jobs to just reach shelves earlier...
All you need is a pistol: I'm really enjoying once again taking down Hunter's with a single pistol shot.
Panzer Dragoon... I can dream can't I?
So the only example the author has is Call of Duty (which isn't even a good example, because the music in that is great and fitting)? Uncharted 3 would have the "overblown" kind of music he's speaking of and it's probably my favorite soundtrack of the last ten years.
If the author wanted to make a case for his opinions, he should have written an article longer and more thorough than this.
Even if 7.5 was a bad score, the review should do the explaining for him.
He says every Metal Gear will be his last. First 2, then 3, then 4. Oh look, now Kojima is coming back from Metal Gear retirement to make one last Metal Gear!
Let's hope he goes with a more "edited" approach.
Who says they didn't downgrade them for a good reason though. You know, to increase loading and improve performance in multiplayer? The author makes the assumption that 3D is the cause, but has no proof.
They should have just given it a -1. Then it would be easier to tell they were joking.
Yes, the Library was not that bad. If someone wants to play an exercise in bad game design, one only needs to play Duke Nukem Forever. The Library was nothing more than a blemish on a truly astounding game.
Also, nice attention grabbing title. Just because 343 didn't want to make any changes to a classic game means nothing about what will happen with Halo 4. As far as the difficulty goes, of course Normal will be easy; you've been playing Halo for ten years! Even Bung...
Someone please explain to me why we need new consoles next year if games look this amazing?
