Yeah, lets make a hardcore game appeal to more people. That totally worked for Ninja Gaiden 3....
tddr; too desperate, didn't read.
I'm pretty sure Yvonne Strahovski would not be considered a big Hollywood celebrity. Tell me you wouldn't have to google a name like that after seeing it.
@blitz0623 - You can't argue that Xbox failed because it didn't have JRPGs. At least for the first few years, 360 had a ton of exclusive RPGs: Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey. All of them brought increased, short term sales to the console especially Tales of Vesperia and Blue Dragon. The problem is they were only hooking the hardcore gamers. The general public was still unwilling to trust a western brand.
I thought girls with huge tits sold games though. And that's certainly an area not lacking in Elizabeth.
Yes, I do not want Sony to keep making more and more games. No one bought a PS3 for anything but the Blu-Ray player, Gran Turismo, and God of War anyway.
Oh wait, that was sarcasm.
Anyone who bought the Map Pass now officially paid more money for all the maps than those who wait till they are available.
It's not just Sony. A lot of developers are scrambling to release their titles in the first half of 2013. Obviously, they know what's coming in the fall...
2Fort should be at least number two on the list because that map really never gets old. It seems like Doom's placing on this list can only be rooted in nostalgia.
To be fair, titles like Halo Wars and Halo remakes don't really count. In the same vein that a Mario spin-off wouldn't count as a new Mario game. Otherwise you could call Mario what a... quad-annual franchise? No stagnation there.
Halo 4 took four years to make, so unless Halo 5 is already well in development I can't see the next one until 2015.
Yeah, Magic_Spatula took the words out of my mouth. You could just as easily argue several of the movies on the list are also heavily influenced by games.
Um, hello... no Scott Pilgrim? That was like the most obvious one.
To be honest, I don't see why any of these games should be made/remade. Except for KHIII which has already been confirmed. Sorry if I come off a little angry here.
Shenmue was way too expensive and unprofitable. And we got Yakuza now which is so similar it's pretty much the spiritual successor.
Killer Instinct was great, but KI Gold was awful. Let the series rest in our memories where it belongs. Bloody Roar was also terrible.
FFTacti...
Didn't bother reading the article when I heard it was the examiner. An interesting topic if these guys seem to have taken the completely wrong approach to it.
I have to say it might be the last. Launching a new console is more dangerous than ever and could squander the current console's profits. If Microsoft or Sony abandon their 360/PS3 so soon after launching their new console, their games divisions might be in hot water.
I'm not sure if this list is in order, but there's no way you could put Ninja Gaiden Sigma ahead of MM9 or Super Meat Boy. Heck, where's Super Hexagon?
He shouldn't have to respond to criticism in length. The review should have already explained himself.
I don't understand what you wish to accomplish by deleting the file so eagerly. To resist the urge to give the game another shot?
There were plenty of cheap deaths in Yoshi's island. One I specifically remember (early in the second world I believe) where you had to memorize the placement of falling blocks or you'd die instantly. Trial-and-error stuff right there.
Even if they intended Baby Mario to be annoying it didn't make the game better for me.
I don't entirely agree. While many (not all) of Yoshi's Islands levels are very well designed, they dropped the ball on one of the game's crucial design aspects which is literally "babysitting" baby Mario.
Also, people's preference of SMW and SMB3 runs far deeper than being fun and easy to jump into. At least those games don't have cheap deaths and annoyances like "babysitting."
Huh? I thought this was going to be a rant on Versus XIII not one on the defense of FFXIII?
