If I was someone with 3.5 mill to burn and wanted to start a chain of gaming stores, I would build my buisness from the ground up, not "skip the hard part," and risk my fortune on a random ebay user.
All I got from this was "We have not been successful in communicating to developers how this business really helps." He said that like five times and preceded to not tell how it does help.
I was convinced there couldn't be anymore than ten Vita games worthy of making a list (there isn't). That and no Gravity Rush makes this article criminal.
"Hey guys, let's make a list of the games we don't want to see sequels to and make them the most popular game franchises!"
I can't believe they put Halo 2's Needler of all Needler's on here. The whole reason it was underpowered was because you could dual-wield it! You can take out Elites and people online in barely a second. You didn't even have to aim!
Here we go again, Gabe.
I now await the day Gabe eats his words once again after Windows 8 Service Pack 3.
This story is why rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt. Can you imagine how the gaming press would explode if a rumor successfully spread that there would be no next Xbox/PS4?
I don't see anywhere in the article that confirms the sequel actually started development 26 years ago. All it does is confirm that it is part of the same franchise.
Completely sensationalist article and plain bad journalism.
I wouldn't give Ito too much credit for XII. He merely took over after Yasumi Matsuno left and had already created most of the game. And you can tell by the end of the game the developers had trouble delivering the story properly.
On the other hand, if you like staring at Raiden's ass I'm sure these are fantastic screenshots.
Before we go there, Activision should be suing EA for its Medal of Honor and Battlefield 3 covers.
I'm interested, but that trailer music was terrible.
Yeah, didn't Ebert say a while back that though he holds his opinion on games, but doesn't feel he has the knowledge to back that up? Now he's backing is argument by pimping an argument by someone else... on a game that only 5 minutes of gameplay released.
Enlarging them certainly seemed to create the illusion that they were real. Thereby making the comparisons inaccurate and pointless. Kotaku's post on the comparisons seems way more accurate: http://kotaku.com/5920145/h...
Did they intentionally blur the PS2 images? Because I remember the game looking quite beautiful, not like I had just removed my glasses.
I can not believe the mind****ery I just read. The fact that someone who calls themselves a professional psychologist can say something like this makes me question the relevancy of the entire field!
Well, the Director of RE4 left. I guess all it needed to lose its quality was bad direction.
Microsoft: "But for us it's really going to be to try to innovate."
Do go on Microsoft how your trifecta of Halo, Forza, and Fable franchises continue to innovate gaming.
Of course, it was not only a coincidence that she looked like Ellen Page, but also a coincidence that she was named "Ellie!"
I would like to see a news story that doesn't spell doom for this title.
