WTF did I just read?!
What is the point of spoiling the game in review? It's sounds like me when I was a kid jumping and yelling to my brother "They killed Aeris!!"
Too bad Ninja Gaiden 3 seems to ruin everything great about the series. Otherwise, this would have been a great idea. Pass.
I'm surprised they didn't pick MGS2 actually. Also a really good intro.
Chrono Cross is an undeniably great pick. That's probably the only game where I always watched the intro when I started up the game.
Obviously, most people didn't get my reference.
Why so low, IGN?
I don't care if the game is 500 hours and not awesome. Game length is a non-issue.
Why does the article say SE is too busy with FF to do an HD DQVIII? This is a ridiculously dumb assumption. SE has only been using the last five years rereleasing pretty much every DQ on DS. Why would an HD DQVIII seem out of the question?
Meh, I'm pretty sure a lot of publications said the same thing about Doom 3. Look how that turned out.
Nier was far from a critical darling, but it has definitely gathered a cult-following. Though I thought I heard mention of it not selling well by SE. A sequel would surprise me, but I'm hoping.
Um yeah, I could care less why some random guy thinks SotC is overrated. And if you gotta make something this long just to explain it you know it's a lost cause.
I guess that's what they meant by "Missing Link."
Very disappointing though not entirely surprising this series is turning into trash. Team Ninja clearly has no idea what to do with this series. I mean, this focus on story could be neat and all, but no one cares about the Ninja Gaiden story. I just want to be a bad-ass ninja who decapitates demon's in an airplane. That and satisfying gameplay.
I love Uncharted single-player and all, but the multiplayer still feels like an afterthought. Will not be giving Halo or CoD a run for their money in that department like the article says.
@Apollyn - So everyone at Square hates FFVII, yet they decided to make four spin-off games on the series? The game that made Square an unstoppable powerhouse? The game where basically every FF title has been shamelessly ripping off with emo protagonists and futuristic settings? Get out of here.
So just because they came out close together that somehow makes them comparable? Why not something like Bioshock vs. Deus Ex: HR? Not only are they both great games, they also have quite a few similarities.
I don't think the burden of sales should be left on Kevin Butler alone. The fact is Resistance 3 is another shooter in already an overcrowded genre this holiday.
I may not like the shift away from film noire, but Max Payne 2 was an average shooter at best with a cool story. I have no doubt in my mind that MP3 will still be a better game.
Am I the only one surprised this game is already ten years old? The game still looks really good at that age. Obviously, HD will make it look even better.
Wait, FFvsXIII is still coming out?
