@grifter - What are you talking about people playing only 2 or 3 matches a day? I see people all the time with Reclaimer or Forerunner ranks. We're talking 6000 or 7000 matches, maybe more. That's over 20 matches a day.
And what is this mythical, giant group of people who played Halo all day? I could claim the same thing for any game with 100 people who play it.
Didn't Bungie say say the same thing about Halo Reach being more like Combat Evolved? Having big, open levels and fighting the Elites again (who once again don't speak English).
@showtimefolks - Actually, the article argues fixing stuff like the library would make the game worse. Keeping it authentic is what makes it better.

Halo is easily the biggest shooter franchise this gen aside from Call of Duty. When I see someone playing a game online, chances are it's going to be Halo or CoD. Really, none of the Sony exclusives can come close to those in name recognition, so it's going to come down to the strength of the IPs.

That's exactly the reason why this story is fake. I mean who in their right minds would trust the guys who made a mediocre shooter with Halo?
They should just take a Sledgehammer to this series.
The author is nostalgic of the last generation of console games when yet half of his examples of "hyper sexuality" are from that time period (Bloodrayne, God of War, Soul Caliber). Games have been hypersexualized since they were created. I don't think there's anything to suggest this is a trend.

Evans says "now basically everyone publishes a level." Yeah, that's because you get a trophy for doing so. How many of those 4 million levels are merely copies of another level to collect the trophies? I know mine is.
