Dear God...YOU'RE the only one that's bringing up "every game entitled Zelda."
What kind of "logic" is it to make the ridiculous assumption that I am automatically going to like every Zelda game that is going to be released? I didn't say that and I didn't MEAN that. I liked Skyward Sword, but I still think the franchise needs to evolve. That's what I said, and that's exactly what I meant.
I...don't know what els...
....I'm sorry, we are talking about Skyward Sword, aren't we? I don't recall ever saying anything about "any game with Zelda in the name."
Stop attacking the straw man and just read what I wrote for exactly what it is.
Yes, the formula is getting old, and I'll even go on record as saying that they obviously need to evolve at this point, but I still had a great time playing Skyward Sword...no need to look into it more than that because I didn't mean anything more than that.
Well, I really liked the game too, but I actually AGREE with everything on the list.
Fi, the repetition, the squandered motion controls, the lack of real innovation, etc. It's all true, but...I don't know. It's like it's got such a strong foundation that the game was still great regardless of all that.
Hopefully they'll just take this as more of a wake up call that they need to cut out their anti-consumer bullshit.
Well, if it was any other band I would say I don't believe them either, but Led Zeppelin is notoriously stubborn about lending their songs out to movies, games and tv shows. I kinda figure that's why there hasn't ALREADY been a Rock Band: Led Zeppelin.
Yeah, I'm with you, brother.
You're absolutely right....and yet, is it not a fact that everyone here is judging the 360 fanbase by the same standard?
Seriously.
Serious case of smug in here.
Scrolls and 0x10c.
They're boycotting because the organization in charge of E3 supports SOPA. They didn't duck out because they thought they were better than everyone else.
Jesus, where do you guys come up with this crap?
Plus, I'll take a little elitism over all that corporate shill any day of the week. At least I can ignore doucheyness.
Yeah, definitely a great game and the actual scores don't bother me really, but a great many of these reviews don't even seem to ACKNOWLEDGE that there are problems with the game.
Oh no you di'int.
Steam is really the only online distribution service that I don't feel like I have to take a shower after using.
The sale prices can be crazy and the functionality genuinely feels like it's a service rather than some kind of consumer manipulation (*cough* Origin *cough*).
Have you guys ever opened those old white 360's? That's just what's in them. Don't get pulled over with a white 360 in the car, that's all the advice I can give you.
An "update" would be more than enough, though. Remaking it would diminish some of the nostalgia of replaying the game. I think what they did with OoT3D was pretty much the best way they could have handled it.
This is very telling of the mentality of a large portion of gaming culture right now; a culture that strives to prove the maturity and artistic merit of the industry, but then conversely likes to pull the "it's just a game" card every time crap like this happens.
Haha. I salute your frankness.
That...was a pretty terribly written review, though I agree with a lot of it. I'm not too terribly far into the game yet, but at this point aside from the combat the game seems very unremarkable.
Though it's VERY good for those looking for fanservice. It's a new level of ridiculousness in terms of TnA.
Why would I want to see a picture of a box of a game that I can't play until Tuesday?
