It's kind of like that now. If you buy a new Xbox 360 and don't transfer your licenses from your old console, xbla games won't play while offline. They go back to trial mode. It will probably be the same way.
It's funny how much rage comes from timed exclusives. But Sony is hardly innocent of doing the same...remember GTA san Andreas? Xbox and PC players got it 3 months later. There were more but that was a big one.
Either way they're going to keep doing it to lure gamers. It's business.

The attitude Sony had turned a lot of gamers away early on. To dismiss that is blind. Anyway if Sony plays their cards right it will be their chance to be on top again.
Streets of Rage, Contra, and Gears of war are my fave franchises.
I'd have Contra 3 Alien Wars in there as well. It was the one game that made me buy the SNES.
This really hits. I still have my odyssey 2 and master system and play them from time to time just to show my kids what I had when I was their age.
I fear the day my 360 HDD dies and servers are gone so I can't get that investment back.

I do miss cool names...Saturn, jaguar, Genesis, Mega Drive, Lynx, Nomad, even the Master System sounds better than Wii U and XboxOne.
