He just knows about his own craft. I'm guessing after making a game the last thing on his mind is to play other games. He's got a family and probably travels or enjoys the real world. There is more to life than videogames.
Exactly. They can't play a game without tons of save spots or checkpoints with health regeneration. Just try to play a Contra game with a kid that grew up on ps2. They give up.

It's really going to come down to who gets the one must own game. So many "me too" games people are getting bored. Ooh call of duty with more polygons. That game moves so fast people could care less. It's going to be the same across the board...madden, FIFA, halo, Tekken, NBA 2k, same games with slightly more detail.
Whichever console comes out with Shenmue 3 will get my purchase. Lol

I never liked sony's dpad. It was always felt like 4 separate buttons like n64's C buttons. It's terrible. Very archaic. Nintendo has a patent on their design. Not sure about Sega.
If they could just put the old Sega Genesis 6-button dpad on the 360 controller it would be perfect. I hate the dpads for Sony and 360. They're terrible for fighters.
You're right on there. I'm in the states and I don't have any friends with a PS3. My non-gamer friends have a Wii collecting dust and don't even realize there's an upgrade known as the Wii U. Meanwhile my gamer friends are your typical 360 owning COD/Madden/Fifa bros. I can't show them anything like Uncharted, LBP, or even Fable, Mass Effect, or Gears of War. They just want an Xbox controller to play COD. It's sad really.

You might not see that in some games too. A good example would be like NBA 2k13. When players go to the bench the player models drop rendering to save ram. You see it when you make substitutions. Now with the expanded ram and hardware everyone on the court will have higher detail at all times. Untrained eyes may not notice at all.
Double Agent was the only bad one imo. I still play the others regularly. Solid franchise.
There won't be significant differences graphically between ps3 and ps4. A lot of people are going to feel let down with such high expectations. Games like Metal Gear 4 and Uncharted are going to hold their own for a long time. If graphics are all you really care about there are PCs for that.
