Again, there were plenty of people (Gaming websites alike) that either preferred BC over remasters or hated the idea of remasters at all. A lot of folks were on the side of that narrative. If I were talking about one source, your idea would make sense. But, I'm not, so you're simply.....wrong. Few examples...

Uh, I'm aware that not EVERYONE feels the same way. Regardless, it doesn't take much to remember the days when remasters were seen as a bad thing compared to BC. It was said, whether you had your fingers in your ears nor not.
So, which is it? When Sony announced remasters, it was "boooo, Remasters means the end of BC as we know it". Now, all of a sudden, it is the other way around. This is why you can't take modern gaming journalism seriously.
Not quite Sony 1st Party level, but definitely one of the best games I've played.....ever! And looks nearly as good as the best of the best, too!
"Gnomageddon was a free-to-play online action game"
Not a big game. Also, that Sony Monica project was, quite literally, in pre-production and hardly anyone could tell you about it. Completely at odds with a project like Scalebound. So, still no big games cancelled by Sony.
Also, curb the insults. If I'm so "wrong", you shouldn't have any need to take it there. :P
Yup! Problem solved.
Ah, so you have nothing but hot air. Got it. For the record, we’re talking about game cancellations. Konami cancelled Silent Hills. Nothing to do with Sony, unlike Scalebound for Microsoft . Thus, there is no hypocrisy. You are just unable to provide a correlation to games in current production vs fully cancelled projects.
Oh well. :)
It doesn't need to sell as good as Horizon (which is irrelevant to OB1's point, anyway). It's selling quite well, which means a sequel is much more likely and even more funding next time.
Um, Deep Down and WiLD are still in development (even though the former is a Capcom property), and Silent Hills was 100% on Konami.

Name the big games Sony cancelled.
@DaDrunkenJester
The Coalition also made Gears Ultimate.
OT: I’m pretty excited, too!
I’ll never understand inflammatory, meaningless posts like these.
It's not worse on PlayStation for a lot of people (myself included). Anecdotal, of course (just like what you're saying). Happens on any platform people exist. Of late, I've noticed a spike on XBL, however, which is why I get the existence of this article.
With it expected to ship 112.8m by next March, 120m is too low. Not, I don't expect quite the highs of 155m, but there's nothing suggesting a console can't do those numbers again.
Nope. Your response remains spin. Myself, and others, have highlighted why.
"Better numbers per customer than PS".
That might be the biggest load of spin I've seen in a while. Did you happen to miss how PlayStation raked in more in 2018 than both Xbox AND Nintendo? Why conveniently ignore that?
Yep
It doesn’t need it. It’ll be Sony’s third home console to do it and the second best selling home console of all time. That’s quite a feat as it is!
Majority of PS4 players booed BC? Maybe you mean on N4G, but most PS4 players (unless we can prove otherwise) probably didn't care either way. They clearly liked remasters, though, since many of them have sold very well.
Regarding journalists, it was well documented, which is why I mentioned it.
