Funny when you hear/read this and then look back 10 years to this:

Some of those things happened, while others, not so much. Great read, though!
@Boombody
TLOU is having a bigger impact these days and it shows in the games produced (few to none of which play anything like a Metal Gear game). Instead of trying to tell people what they can't 'handle, perhaps you can enlighten everyone on just how you have presented a fact.
@SCW1982
Trust me, a lot of us are asking that question. One of those types to just skip right on by after reading the first couple of nonsensical posts.
OT: In any case, it definitely did. Games now take inspiration from it and I bet the sequel will have another major impact like that.
Absolutely spot on post!
No. Every game doesn’t.
@Donnie81: I mean, you can tell yourself that, but nothing supports it. Show me five articles that claim either of those games beat Sony’s top games and we can enter Phase 2 of this discussion. :)
And yet, critics and gamers continue to give the highest notes for graphics (on consoles) to Sony exclusives.
It is not an open platform.
Then, that’s you. Great. To me, there’s nothing “redundant” about buying different devices for different experiences and far more people agree than disagree. The industry has always thrives on multiple devices. That isn’t suddenly a bad thing because people like you are against it.
"Sony's only source of revenue is PlayStation, without PlayStation they would be bankrupt"
There's spreading false info and then there's this - a whole new level of nonsense.
Um, if we get rid of exclusives, what would be the point of multiple devices? Sometimes, I have to wonder if people think these things through.
Uncharted 4's reveal was rendered on the engine, not pre-rendered on a PC.
No. Support your current device all the way.
Well, you clearly haven’t played it.
Well said. The transparency of a select few in here is quite telling, to say the least.
"Ya know I rarely see pieces about how bad Xbox is as far as releasing compelling software. But there's loads of "GamePass is the shit" or how great Xbox will be at streaming but none about their lack of software. I looked up Xbox games released in 2019, and the only "exclusives" they had were Crackdown 3 and Gears 5. Now I imagine Gears 5 is ok but Crackdown 3 is a dumpster fire! So where's an article breaking that down?!?!"
Nail on th...
I'll stick with my PC for the best graphics, stick to PlayStation for the best exclusives (who's graphics also tend to beat anything the Xbox has to offer), and, sure, grab a Scarlett to hang out with some buddies who game on it and for the few games I'll check out on Pass.
Always love comments like these. Lacking coherence and never anything to back them up.
In any event, in the real world, this is how the gaming industry goes. Time and again, people have looked for the red herrings, only to find that this is par-for-course. That, and, from all recent accounts, including reviews, Death Stranding was a success.
Clearly you didn't play too many 2019 games.
Mind sharing a source that corroborates this?
