Slender is FAR from trash (and thankfully most who've played it agree). Neither SOMA nor Amnesia are boring (and also were reviewed well by gamers and critics alike). 'I barely even played these two' says a lot, because your view of things can't be taken seriously with such an admission.
Thus, the '3/10' you speak of is very much a personal issue, not at all indicative of a real percentage of bad→good in Indie Horror titles.
An what Indie Horror games have you played that are bad?
Soy and Nintendo could both put there games on PC. It isn't owned by Microsoft, unlike Xbox.
@S2Killinit
That was actually an excellent analogy!
@Neonridr
It comes with Ultimate Edition, not Gears 1. The above article is incorrectly promoting that.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/...
“In addition to Gears 5, get full-game downloads of Gears of War Ultimate Edition and Gears 2, 3, and 4.”
They're promoting 4K with the bundle. Neither Judgment nor the original Gears are in 4K on the X. Thus, their omission.
I pre-ordered one of these bad boys at GameStop and learned all of that then.
Indeed.
Not worth the fight, believe me.
OT: You are probably right, Mr. Baker. That said, I'm plenty excited to go in unready! :P
@Sophisticated_Chap
MGS4 is Konami's property, not Sony's. It could have been a multiplatform title if they wanted it to, so you're barking about the wrong company there.
I'm inclined to agree.
That's not how it works. To Sony, what they ship is what is sold. What consumers buy is a different matter, but the sale has been made.
Moot anyway, as the PS4 will obviously sell through (different from sell-in ~ ship) 100 million and then some.
Without complaint, there will be complacency. It's a barebones store compared to other storefronts (among other things wrong with it).
So, no, people should continue to want better.
Yes, that's why many of us on PC have them. ^_^
@porkandshakes
Provide me with sources showing they were struggling. Also, NT made an exclusive for Sony (Heavenly Sword). So, that sort of talk is irrelevant.
If they were in true bad shape, then sure, I can see why an acquisition makes sense, but if not, the analogy remains.
@Sevir
Though I hadn't heard that they were struggling, I appreciate your reasonable response. :)
Ninja Theory made multiplatform games and has worked with Sony before. Was that purchase a good fit? Were they in bad shape prior to acquisition? The analogy works here.
There is no testing of the water from Sony, given their in-house games will remain PS exclusive and they’ve already had a few of their properties by 3rd party companies on the PC.
This is simply a Quantic Dream thing, based on the investment from NetEase.
I’m thinking you didn’t play God of War 2018. :P
Nothing to do with the Epic Store. It has been in development for a while.
Indeed.
Last I checked, a '6' wasn't trash, but then, this generation of gamers think anything under 8 is bad. So no shock there.
Nothing wrong with saying that AAA is of better quality than Indie (though that doesn't take a Master's Degree to know), but a lot of your issues are not reflected among the majority and critics/feedback agree.
