You mean console gaming. PC gamers have had access to it for some time.
Regardless, they next two consoles will have a shot at it. Nothing wrong with that, even if most games won’t run that way.
You actually listed the PS4 as being the exceptional console. If the other two made such crucial mistakes, that means Sony (and the PS4) were the exception.
As for the "There is no reason MS could not have done as good and as many games, but they focused on entertainment and not gaming" - yeah. That being their fault. No way to spin or sugar coat it. Sony did better Bottom line. Making excuses only allows for more blunders to happen.

Really no point in trying to look for a reason. Check his post history. It's unfortunate that you have to dismiss certain people that way, but in this case, it's appropriate.
OT: Game was fantastic from start to finish. I don't dibble/dabble in 'Best of Decade' talk, but still one of the staples of the PS3 and the sequel can't come soon enough!
Um, 1st Party games ARE important. It’s not simply a claim and that’s something Microsoft needs to learn from Sony.
That said, I agree that it’s a fairly moderate difference, but still think Now has plenty to offer by comparison.
The 'we need to let the generation end first' conflicts with 'this should be common knowledge'. On top of that, I've not seen too many of these articles posted on N4G lately (unlike the mountain of 'Xbox Is Lovely, Please Read Why' articles). Unlike an opinion piece, this actually pinpoints factual reasons why the PS4 dominated the Xbox One.
Sure, it's common knowledge that Xbox is nowhere near the size and scope of PlayStation around the wor...
There is definitely a difference and plenty of people see it. On top of that, Sony IS doing great, so multiple articles praising them isn't odd. Even art Xbox's worst, we hard how great it was, that next year's E3 would be 'the one', and so on.
Nothing wrong with liking the brand, but much of the time, it goes beyond that.
The difference is we don't see a zillion of these just trying to justify the existence of PlayStation.
In terms of money earned, the PS4 is, by far, their most successful device. It should also stop selling maybe 20 or so million shy of the PS2's 157 million.

In 2020, that idea isn't as far fetched. Microsoft tried to pitch this 7 years ago, however. So, the comparison makes no sense.
Death Stranding is very much a Sony title. It is their property and is being published on PC with their blessing.
What you mean is it isn't an exclusive, which is also false until Summer 2020.
Explain how they are...
Reading through the article, they mainly highlight the form factor and the idea that 'X' is supposed to signify 'premium'. While that's mostly true, this thing still won't be a PC — which is a totally open platform, 100% upgradeable, has better graphics + performance (and opportunities to take it even further), and so on.
I get that they're hyped, like many people, but as with most next gen articles, they run wild with hyperbole.
Mind sharing a source that corroborates this?
Funny when you hear/read this and then look back 10 years to this:

Some of those things happened, while others, not so much. Great read, though!
@Boombody
TLOU is having a bigger impact these days and it shows in the games produced (few to none of which play anything like a Metal Gear game). Instead of trying to tell people what they can't 'handle, perhaps you can enlighten everyone on just how you have presented a fact.
@SCW1982
Trust me, a lot of us are asking that question. One of those types to just skip right on by after reading the first couple of nonsensical posts.
OT: In any case, it definitely did. Games now take inspiration from it and I bet the sequel will have another major impact like that.
Absolutely spot on post!
No. Every game doesn’t.
Uh, what’s the point of a next gen console if I can just play the game on the previous (or in my case, the PC)?
