B. Why'd you use Final Fantasy? That's not even PlayStation's biggest launch. It's Ragnarök, and that sold 5m in 5 days.
Xbox has no exclusive that has ever done that, and unless they (Microsoft) state otherwise, Starfield didn't either.

Yea. Blame the "ponies" for the game's critical reception not reaching the heights many of Starfield's ardent fans claimed it would...
PS5's biggest games (Demons Souls, God of War, Horizon, Last of Us, Ratchet, Returnal, etc) are all above an 84 on Metacritic and not are not considered disappointments. Starfield was hailed as the "next great ....", "the turning point for Xbox", etc.... and all it has mustered is an 84 Metascore (lower than every one of those games). Besides, "80% Metacritic is not 88% (if we're being technical), but no one said 84 was a bad score. Only that it's nowhere ...

Typical with Sony sequels. Pay it no mind - the game will release to great reviews, break records, and articles like these will prove their irrelevance once more.
Sony can receive plenty of competition and it not be from Xbox. This is always the thing that plucks at me "Sony needs competition, Xbox can't go away". Sure it can. Present them with a WORTHY competitor.

A pivot to Sony (typical) doesn't change that the game has disappointed a lot of people. When things are hyped beyond what the results show, this is the consequence. PlayStation is not at fault for what's going on with Starfield.
Thus, it sounds like you're in your own nightmare.
