Outside of Steam's sales, you won't hear about its totals anyway. So, pointless statement.
What IS for certain is there are big games who tallies will be there for all to see and will likely have little trouble topping Starfield, such as Spider-Man and Zelda.
This game is about to bitch slap all others that release near it (unless it's CoD)! :P
The difference is Sony actually releases quality single player stuff. At a high rate. Nintendo also releases quality first. Like them, Jim Ryan clearly knows what he's doing.
Xbox is the only one to be worried about (and the only one that's relevant to: How Refall Destroyed Arkane).
Whataboutisms should be called irrelevanitis.
What you said changes nothing about what Microsoft has been caught doing here.
The simple explanation is that the internal drive is much faster than is needed for the game, but doesn't mean they could have run the game, as it is, on just any PC with any SSD. Trust, I game mostly on PC and it's more complicated than just "but this can run it and it's slower". Like they said — thr SSD is screamingly fast. It is a game changer and does provide instantaneous speeds speeds. This was also before the game was even considered for PC, so they were talking a...
"Marketing hype".
Was there a faster SSD on PC than the PS5's in 2020? Answer that, tech raptor, and then the blanks will fill in themselves.
"Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a game that utilizes dimensions and dimensional rifts, and that would not have been possible without the solid state drive of the PlayStation 5," Smith said. "The SSD is screamingly fast. It allows us to build worlds and project players from one place t...

"Competition" meaning Xbox ........ you know, the ONLY OTHER CONSOLE in this comparison.
Apply being "cheeky" when you aren't clueless.
But is what though? Its price was lowered (the X has yet to see a price cut) and nothing came of it (in fact, it got soundly beaten last holiday). If it were a hot item, you better believe Microsoft would screaming that from every mountain top.
@rlow1
The Switch was in this comparison? Oh, right.
Even if it was, that negates none of what I said.
Game Pass is not moving the needle. Never has. The issue for Series S is most people want the X
If anything, it makes the PS5 look better! It’s absolutely demolishing them!
While others count success with how well a showcase does, the real success is in the form of game output, money made, and units sold. One of those consoles does all three of them very well. 😉
Indeed. It’s the very definition of nose cutting. Even if it hurts their own interests, as long as their team gets a “win”, they’re okay with it.
Then again, that’s many humans in general, but it’s particularly easy to see with fans of industry consolidation.
That so?
Explain why.
So a solid 80/100 or 60/100? Which is it? XD
Ironically, back in the 2008-2010 period, the original Alan Wake was often compared with Heavy Rain as well!
@Sitdown
They got lucky during the 360 years that Sony fumbled, giving them an opening. They have yet to prove they can go toe-to-toe with PlayStation when it's steamrollin' ahead (PS2/4/5).
Last thing Sony should do is ever take pointers from Microsoft regarding Xbox. Clearly what they are doing is working, and by the time these games release, both shows will, as usual, prove to be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Check back to this sort of talk when Xbox comes anywhere near PlayStation in units sold, games grabbing GOTY, or money made.
