Agreed. Excellent performance, yes, but hardly insane.

Next time someone really wonders what a beatdown is, point them in this direction.
Thanks WindowsCentral. I needed a dosage of comedy!
Like the 10-15 years before it? :P
What aspects? From what I played, it did nothing better than other games and certainly didn't do anything substantially better. So, my curiosity remains.
Exactly @lazerphaserb
Just watch how Hellblade 2's launch goes. The "movie game" trash talk will cease to exist, and they'll want everyone to "respect" the graphics/story/etc.
@Lightning77
"It also outperformed FF16, RE4 and Mortal Kombat sales. And yes I have my facts ready in case of any objections".
Present those facts. What did those games sell WW and show us how they compare to Starfield's current WW totals. And (this is key) what's the split between Xbox and PC?
Agreed.
Not a bad game, just not on the level of this year's best.
What games does Starfield "s**t" on?
Spider-Man is the last example you want to use. It literally mollywhops anything Xbox puts out AND is developed in-house. Just stop.
They didn't "learn" anything. They've always had the softer approach in regards to storage. The Vita was the outlier.
The PS3/4/5 have all been better about storage.
" People buy this game for multiplayer."
Right. The 4/10 single player, on its own, would not outsell the games you mentioned.

Nothing "interesting" about it. It's simply a tough time for the tech industry.
That's ...... not how it works at all.
"Less powerful" is even a stretch. The latest discussion on this with Digital Foundry put a lot of things in perspective.
They've been buying major publishers for the past two decades? Interesting.
There is no evidence that they would have gone all in with Jim. They'll do what they normally do would do — dabble. People were worried in 2010 when they introduced the Move and I said the same thing: their core business model would not change. And it didn't.
They know what they're doing and have seen 4 highly successful PlayStation consoles, so they deserve a little benefit of the doubt when it comes to handling the brand.
Sony actually needs to keep doing what they’re doing. They’re business is BOOMING right now! A risk here and there? Sure. It just doesn’t need to come at the expense of their current model, which is their most successful yet!
I don't think I've ever read a more LAUGH-OUT-LOUD inducing headline than this in all of my years coming here.
Um, your moaning and complaining joins the other moaning and complaining. How the hell are they untouchable?
Moaning and complaining about $10 if you already own it. The issue is you people that gripe about every damn thing, not a $10 upgrade that you could avoid.
