i looked at big jims post history too. and he sounds like a whiny crybaby.(not someone with an "honest opinion".
and to answer both of your texture concern: who buys a game they have been looking forward to and stands and stares at textures?---yes, if, in the context of playing the game textures become distracting then it's an issue, but i haven't noticed it. some games (kane and lynch or army of two) have been huge letdowns, but that is because of the game, not the...
you're thinking of "too human"
that kind of speculation i can't dispute.(you could be right)i don't agree with you- i hope you will show up when game is released and it isn't "killed". oh, KZ is more than "pretty great looking". from what i've seen, it's the most immersive, realistic war experience ever made.
so, when game comes out, show up on thread, so we can discuss it.i'll be here.
war torn areas is what gears of war was made up of- i liked the look too! and the action didn't seem boring.(disappointed at lack of story however)so, are you saying that gears was boring?
i browse these comments and keep thinking people are commenting like the KNOW exactly what's going on with the game. why not wait for GG to provide more info. this endless back and forth nit-picking is getting tiresome. and at sonarus- all you do is try to start sh1t. why not take your poorly thought out comments to the open zone?
i didn't think he looked that square. i want him to look like the pictures you showed. much more natural looking. in the new pics he looks kind of robotic.
one of them was going to wait. but i'm still not clear if that feb. release is for europe only or worldwide? if that was europe only, maybe we would get it in dec???(please)
i'd pay to play that demo. you listening GG?
the devs can't let the game play too difficult or people will spend the limited amount of time they get playing doing nothing but getting killed. the final product will have the AI ready to go i'm sure.
because it didn't make any sense. he was talking about multi-player in COD? and comparing it to a single-player demo? and calling in airstrikes has been done before and on last gen systems. except for multi-player, COD4 single-player was terribly short and kinda average. it ran real smooth, but i was very let down by the level design.
with diff. people coming to try it out and having a limited time with the game, they won't get much out of the experience if all they did was die.
i did hear one of the devs comment on this at last years E3.
if you shoot at the thick part of the torso,(back or hindquarters) the body isn't going to noticeably twitch.(unless it's in an animated cartoon, and this game is going for realism.
are you stupid naturally, or do you have to practice it everyday?
then why is there no 360 games that compare to the KZ footage? and if you want to talk about outdated, last gen equipment, lets talk about that dvd drive in the 360- yea, thats next gen-(end sarcasm)
i came 9 hrs. after your posts, but i have read them.i will put this as bluntly as i can. you are one of the biggest idiots i have ever come across. the art direction is spot on for a war game. and gears art direction is just as good. if you've played the first game you'd know that the planet the helghan people were stuck on was a hostile, barren, dreary place.GG is staying consistant with the storyline. haze, on the other hand, is set in a tropical location. so there is more color. it's sad...
the gears trailer is of a rails shooting level. you call that action? you get excited about being stuck on one spot and just shooting? hec, they'll probably end up giving this game an "E for everyone" rating if this is a ferocious as it gets.
everything they're showing of KZ is full on,balls out, combat. i'm not being a fanboy here; just describing what i've seen of the two games. maybe i just prefer a more hectic, violent, realistic war enviroment. just let me know when we ...
just wait till the side by side comparison of KZ and gears2. KZ whips anything i've ever seen. and if epic did have 4 years to develop this (gears2)- they'd need 4 discs to put it on.
uh, sorry- you need to take another unbiased look. KZ captures battle like no game i've ever seen. and yes,(now that i've seen the gears trailer) KZ is better than gears. which will be the better "game" is diff. story. we won't know this till both games are out.
what you should care about is the campaign length. i hope it's longer than the 8 hrs. i needed to beat the first one. and i'd like to see some better weapons.(chainsaw was the great!) and hopefully some kind of story.(some backstory on the locust?) how many humans are left, since we never see any in gears1. why is every guy in gears looking like someone from pro wrestling? are the women that big too?(yikes!) and how does the locust make all their equipment underground?------you listening epic...
bubbles for your well-written post.
