Well, I like collecting movies too, and I would definitely go for something like this if it has subtitles. Subtitles is a must for me since i'm hard of hearing. And having subtitles in different languages as well as extra scenes is a plus, hence I'm still hesitant on jumping in on the whole digital distribution of movies since at the moment, that's exactly what it is - dd of movies w/o the extras you get on a disc.

All I can say is I see a lot of spin on this thread. I think people are forgetting what December and March will do.

Yea i like the site. You guys got very sensible reviews and it's more like articles for gamers rather than fanboys. Keep up the good work and bubbles up XboxOz.

my copy just came in the mail since yesterday, and I would say since yesterday I haven't been able to get my mind off it or put the controller down. It's so addictive. I dunno how many times I've died already, but still the game is oh so addictive.

@Greywulf

Thanks! At least someone remembers that. It's just silly on the internet you have to go look through pages of pages of old threads or find a link to find "proof" of anything for someone. It's like people aren't old enough on the interwebz to do anything on their own.

But anyway, going back to the view thing, you can even check out Gamefaqs. People were talking about the "closeup" view there too. In all seriousness, are these people ev...

"by adjusting the fov levels in the multiscreen setup (worked in FM2 aswell) you can move the c0ckpit view back to around GT5p view or even more!"

you know what's funny is people saying it's so awesome they can adjust their view further back. I remember reading comments made by Forza fans on how much they liked the view being closer to the steering view because it was more realistic than GT5p's, claiming the closer view is because your eyes are naturally focused on the...

Well it's been shown many times in Neogaf and beyond3d that the replay-mode assets are the same as the in-game mode assets. Same models. So you're wrong there. The only thing different with the replay mode is added motion blur, AA, and heavy use of a vignette filter.

The damage modeling is still pretty good compared to other games. It's not just tacked on pre-rendered damage model overlays. I haven't seen them deform yet, and I've only seen some scuff marks here and there...

When I was younger, i saw a youtube vid of a guy trying to drift his 98 corolla at 70 mph+ with the handbrake. A corolla. Not your aston martin or lambo. A corolla. Did it flip? No. yea yea it's only 70mph, but the car was going perpendicular to its direction.

SUV's on the other hand... they flip so easily. I think I've seen more upside-down SUVs on the road than I've seen sedans and coupes. Of course, this is California. We see more accidents in a day than we see pe...

OH also had to say. Pressing the select button was interesting.

The animation is superb too. Drake slid across the grassy floor in Borneo when I made him jump to approach a guy, and when I pressed square, he punched the guy in the nuts.

Uncharted 2 deserves a much higher rating than what these review sites are giving it. There's so much detail in even the littlest of things. I'm still on the Borneo level, but there are details in places that probably don't even...

As great as it sounds that F3 gets a perfect 10, coming from Destructoid makes me feel skeptical. Afterall, Destructoid was clearly very biased towards Forza from their other article they had. They compared the Camino Viejo track of Forza and Tokyo track from the TGS GT5 demo, and concluded that Forza looked better because it had plants and grass - which is like comparing apples and oranges and saying saying oranges are better just because you don't like eating apples. Hard to take them ser...

I was at Kmart the other day and saw a Halo Action set from Megablocks. When will we see Uncharted toys?

Uncharted 2 flashlight lighting in the sewer/museum level disappoints me. I wonder if it's a bug though, since it follows the camera but not the character's flash light.

GT5 isn't dizzying, it's the hot babe that works at PD that made Kaz, the staff, and the journalists dizzy.

"While we were listening to the sensei’s dissertations, I noticed the presence of a woman. Quite attractive indeed. By turning my head a few degrees to see the rest of colleagues from the media, I could see that they also had “detected” the presence of the employee."

"She immediately saw that she was the center of attention and posed very nicely ...

@ Mnicholas

you are perhaps one of the more rational people here on n4g. Have a bubble.

Though question, have you personally played both Shift & F3 demos? I personally would say Shift looks visually better, but I do not like its artistic approach and would rather prefer the subtlety in F3 & GT.

edit: forget to mention I played F3 on the 360 obviously, and the Shift demo on PS3. According to the census, multiplats generally look better on the ...

I agree with Pirate there. If you do some deep googling, you'd find that Che Chou was the original source to the PD-visiting-T10-E3-booth-to-ta kes-notes. The media followed along with it. Also, finding out more about Che Chou reveals that he's been caught lying several times at NeoGaf forums.

It's strange when the media only followed along with T1 - and it being E3 you'd think the media would also tag along the PD devs to see what they were up to and take actual pictures of t...

^ Lost planet doesn't even really have the normal platforming elements. It was fun, but it played like another typical TPS. UC2 multiplayer on the other hand, feels like a third person platformer with guns.

@Beavis from playing ME, I can say yes that ME is very story driven, and from the videos it seems ME2 will be story driven too. But I don't think you need ME1 to enjoy ME2. Yes from videos it seems that Spectre Shepard is back along with new crew and some old, but this is Bioware we're talking about. I've played their games since Baldur's Gate on the PC. And despite they've made sequels to games, the previous games didn't have to be played to understand what was going on. They're reall...
