They dropped iSlate because they wanted to differentiate themselves from the "Slate PCs" after Ballmer talked about them in a conference earlier in the month.
wow a disagree for commenting about my experience with the last level of the game. stupid fanboys.
considering the amount of time you have to put into an MH game - grinding, farming, crafting just to get good gear for the harder missions - it'll be very pricey to play this with friends online. Might as well just stick with MH 2nd G since at least it's adhoc and portable.
great game. just beat it, sad that I lost 3 of my crew especially grunt and jack, but maybe if i picked different options or if I had higher paragon/loyalty they would've survived. Quite an epic last level.
Probably a liability issue. It's easier for a company to manage if their OS sits only on one hardware platform. If Apple customers ever run into an issue, they can run to Apple for support. Apple probably doesn't want to be responsible for issues that hackintosh users may have due to Psystar.
I definitely don't see how they're "monopolizing" OSX when it doesn't even have the market share Windows has. By your statement, Microsoft shouldn't package Internet Explorer ...
Those of you ripping on this game obviously haven't played Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy. It was a rather excellent game on the PC/Xbox and you can even download it on the 360. Heck if you've played that and ripping about HR now then your'e probably just doing so because HR is on the PS platform. tsk tsk.
i was hoping to get shepherd to bang kelly, miranda, and jack ... but I highly doubt that'll happen since Jack hates cerberus, Kelly's easy, and Miranda's a cold b!tch.
i admit I've played it already at a friend's and the story's excellent but doesn't require ME 1 to enjoy. ME1 is actually supplementary the way bioware went with the progression of ME2. Shepherd already dies in the first 10 minutes of the game but he gets resurrected. It's fun to see the old crew as well as the new one as you go on recruiting people, but otherwise they pretty much fill you in on what happened in ME 1 if you need to (dialogue option). It's very linear and there's not muc...
you guys need to read plan obsolescense or maybe you already know about it if your professor mentioned it in your business classes.

practically every company does something like this, but I wouldn't call it a "kill switch." That just sounds so effing corny.
Pachter's always wrong. He's sipping too much of that koolaid.
@RealityGamer
he said:
"Uncharted scored so high because of hype? When did anyone ever give PS3 a break over hype. Overhyping is M$'s game, not Sonys."
you said:
"Overhyping is M$ game? I thought sony promised everyone that gow3 will be running at 1080p 60fps locked. What happened there? "
what kinda fkd up argument is that? He's stating hype leading to high scores and you're bringing up 1080p. How the hell is 1080p rela...
Heavy Rain deserves a 9/10 because it has mystical powers. Sony didn't even have to do any marketing. With just a mere thought and a whimsical flick of his finger, David Cage has made it pour heavily in California. It's been literally raining hard for the past two days and we're expecting it to last the entire week. It's an omen and if people don't rush out to purchase this 9/10 title, David Cage will make sure it'll pour heavier and flood into our homes.

OLED + glass screen + no physical keyboard + >$700 + no WWAN 3g/4g connection of some sorts = fail
and AFAIK, the product isn't geared towards gaming. I read several gadget sites and they've been mentioning about getting invited to the conference, so I would say video game journalists that got invited were just a select few and not representative that this device is solely designed as a gaming device.
we've already seen similar pictures with graphics like this from the demo without the hud.
@chaosatom
lol sorry about that but I thought it was kinda expected given the beginning of AC2 and how they had a "oh we gotta hurry before we get caught" kinda theme goin. =)
I don't think 90% of us in N4G have ever stepped into a $100,000+ sports car and "know how to drive" one. Afterall, you see more people wrecking their sports cars on Break than you do videos of people that actually know how to drive one. Given that in mind, I would rather think that by flooring a $100,000+ vehicle, I would lose control and feel like I'm driving on ice rather than actually knowing how to regain control by a simple flick of the analog stick and fine control of the t...
I wonder how many of you have tried doing those publisher/advertising gigs online. Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me why we have a bunch of positive [or negative] reviews on certain products. The one advertising only needs to contact the publisher and tell them if they want a positive, negative, or generic opinion of their product. It is ultimately up to the one publishing to accept or decline the offer, so it doesn't surprise me if a bunch of the reviews out there are paid for and told to w...
@indysurfin
dude nobody was bringing up the sony toy until you did. stop trying to bring in a mindless argument and put in something actually thoughtful. A lot of these comments here so far are serious and put some sensible thought to how Natal will function as a whole when it comes out.
You have to agree and I do too, that when E3 was around, Natal was advertised as controller-less gaming. But with the recent interviews saying we could also use the controller, i...
@ChrisW
that's some bad porn then since maybe only a very very very small minority actually walk through that section and get off walking out.

granted you have to pay extra, but it does have 3G and you don't have to be under contract. Judging by how they're having iBooks and a store with it, it seems the iPad is a combination tablet running iPhone OS, e-reader, note taker, and media player.
